disable popups
Please provide the means to disable popups. I like the flags. The popups block half the screen, are irrelevant, and recenter the map.

hey everyone: i've never seen an ad pop up unless i was stopped. if you're seeing ads (more than just pins on the screen) when you're actually at-speed, report it as a BUG from within the app:
settings -> report an issue -> help center -> troubleshooting & support -> contact support
try to get a screenshot or video that shows the ad on screen along with a visible speed of over 5mph.

I find the amount and size of pop up ads to be pretty disturbing since this is an app for drivers. I found the map blocked by an ad for a nearby seafood restaurant while I was trying to get to the hospital at 8am, so they’re not even relevant. I would at least like to be able to identify myself as a single driver, because these seem like features for a passenger to use. Since I have none, for me to get rid of these ads is to take my hands off the wheel. I’d just hope a navigation app would prioritize safety over selling adspace.

The ads waze currently has implements are very dangerous. They pop up in the middle of driving and cause a distraction. I can't count how many times I have been using waze and all of a sudden don't know where to go because of the adds. Currently waze is the only navigation app I can use because Google maps has completely stopped working, else I wouldn't use waze because of adds. I can see a lawsuit on wazes hand because of these pop up ads being a distraction while driving. Which we are told to not be using our phones while driving, so interacting with an ad on our navigation app would cause great problems.

Tuesday driving 70 mph in unfamiliar expressway, I’m looking down to see my exit number when your ad pops up. There is no way to get it the hell off my screen. I’m panicking, click where it tells me to and I have to enter.a code from email while I am driving to continue??? Way too dangerous. You have to give us a way, an obvious way, to click out of the ad before we have a wreck. I’m done with Waze if 1) you can’t accommodate this request, and 2) if you have a way to do this already and don’t tell me how. I appreciate the app when I’m not being asked to play with it, my email, copy and freaking paste on my drive home with a shattered dominant shoulder and just fir my first covid vaccine. Thank you. Please advise.

You have too many ads that distract people when driving!! I love the app, but the distractions are a problem. I will not be using Waze until this issue is sorted out.

Get rid of the pop up ads. They are not only annoying and dangerous but not even interesting. But they CONSTANTLY take my attention off the road. Not putting my life at risk so you can make 0.001c per pop up ad. That’s why I’m deleting the app and leaving a one star review.

The pop down "information" (=advertising) is dangerous and should be removed because: It causes an unnecessary distraction from driving as drivers should still pay attention to their surroundings even when stopped at traffic lights; drivers have to touch their phones (illegal in many jurisdictions) to dismiss the advertisement if they want to see other details on the map.
There are other ways to advertise without causing dangerous distractions

Having ads pop up over the map is dangerous and ridiculous.
WHY?
Really liked the way it was working until ads pop up and cover the freakkin map.
Stop or you're gone.
You are not the only driving app so act like you want our business. -

Have the ability to remove ads in navigation screen.
I am now seeing ads for grocery shops, petrol stations and even fast food restaurants.
This takes up a significant portion of the navigation screen if in close proximity to a few of these locations at once.
Absolutely ridiculous as it's a navigation app, not a food app. It is completely ruining the navigation experience and what was once an awesome app. Very disappointed

SERIOUSLY,, The Nav screen is for navigating...not for selling /promoting new ideas. GARMIN doesn’t do this in jet cockpits... Why? Because pilots would take a dim view of their doing so,,,as would passengers if they knew. Do your marketing somewhere else,

Remove full screen pop up ads. They completely ruin the app experience. I am using your app to get directions. Not stare at full screen adds

Please disable ads pop-us, or make a premium version. You get enough info and money from peoples using waze, and tracking persons for intelligence services.

Select the field to insert an address. A screen will come up in the top left is the "gear" for the app settings. Select notifications and deselect receive all push notifications. This should remove the stupid pop-ups.
