Add > Hazard > On road > Vehicle Stopped/Broken down
There are numerous times when one comes across a broken down or stalled vehicle in the road, and you end up reporting it as "Other" or even report it as "On Shoulder" which is inaccurate.

Simple addition to Hazard/On Road list-"Disabled Vehicle". Seems the only thing people can select is "object on road" which of course is very misleading, and a bit dangerous as drivers spend too much time looking through the menus for a "disabled vehicle" selection.

I totally agree. I was coming over an overpass and thankfully I was in the right lane, because on the left lane a car was stopped on the road. It is very dangerous.
Another time I was on a two lane exit ramp and there was a broken down car in the right lane. The guy was pushing the car backwards down the ramp. That was very unsafe for all involved.

Yes, Cars and objects can be located on the road or the shoulder. Waze does not currently give these options.

Just curious if you guys are ever going to/able to add object on shoulder or vehicle stall on road....I've seen this quite a bit. Just a suggestion that would make hazards much more helpful.

Please offer this feature. I drive about 100 miles round trip everyday on the freeways in Southern California. I get this alert about 40 times per day.
It is incredibly annoying. It is also pretty useless. It constantly draws my attention away from the road for something that is about 5 lanes away and nobody cares about.
The only reason so, so many people report it is because they get points for reporting things.

Good idea.
I agree -

This has been the cause of some traffic congestions i've been in, but no real way of reporting it. This would be a great addition

Option to disable prompt "vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead". Very distracting and not useful information in my opinion. During my daily commute (42miles) through I-695, I-70,US-29, I-492 and I-270 there are up to 15! disabled vehicles and the prompts are getting truly annoying.

I agree, there definitely needs to be a Stationary vehicle option added, otherwise users may not know what exactly is ahead.

Totally agree! Hope this gets voted up and implemented. I gave it three votes. :)

Add a disable vehicle on the road within the hazard section.

Adding a generic "Stationary Vehicle" would be more useful. "Object on Road" implies debris and such, whereas a "Stationary Vehicle" can be any of the following:
- Delivery truck (UPS / FedEx / USPS / big-rig / etc)
- Disabled or otherwise double-parked vehicle
- Emergency Vehicle (not necessarily for a "Car Accident")
- U-Haul trailers and such -

Agreed it would be good to add "Vehicle" to list that shows what is in the road.

In Hazard menu, under "on road," we need a vehicle icon as there is in "on shoulder" option. Keep passing broken down vehicles in traffic lanes...causing bad traffic jam...but only icon for things like "roadkill!" Have to write description which is DANGEROUS. Not sure roadkill is legitimate traffic hazard...broken down vehicle, I would suggest, is! Thanks

I used "Object on the road" for a stuck car in the middle of the highway. It is MUCH more important then "a car on the sholders".

Twice now I have come across vehicles stalled in the roadway. None of the categories in hazard -- road fits this case. I use "other" but that's not very descriptive.
