A way to delete my own report.
My idea is... A way to delete my own "report". I placed a report by mistake and wanted to take it off but couldn't!

This is done by giving it a thumbs down, and when enough people do this it will go away. Allowing one person to remove it would give too much power to that one person.

Don't know how to delete "police ahead report" when they have left area? Also, how do you delete "potholes" after they are filled in? Same goes for accident report that has been cleared.
Thank you. -

The fact that this feature has not been added for years tells me that the software developers have a poor software design. Disappointing considering that Google owns this app...

It would be nice to be able to remove a post. (Car on shoulder) Waze still announces it when the car is gone so it would be nice to be able To remove it

I thought I was posting a hazard in a particular location, but it placed it at my house where I was sitting. Can't remove it. Ugh.

I can remove my votes from this issue but not the accidental report I made.

Need to be able to remove hazard I have entered, or even better, have the hazard location noted at time of initiating the report & not when you press submit. If in traffic, the location you identify will be different than where the pin/flag is dropped.

I read the title more as one down vote doesn't remove the alert. If that is the case then chips could remove alerts on their own position. Something like 3 "not there" + number of "thumb ups" would remove it

Waze are you for real this has been an issue for almost three years...PUT IN A DELETE OPTION frigging ridiculous

Yes, I reported a hazard a block or two west of where it really was and I was not sure how to correct it. Going back to it merely added to the count.

Please allow the ability to remove police location from either direction on highways and turnpikes when there are no police cars in the list location.

I have the same issue. I was checking out the Voice Command. I was trying to get Reports from my area. I accidentally ended up reporting the the one-way dirt road that my house is on has very heavy traffic! But there is no way for me to delete my own mis-Report.
This original post is from 2012! My comment is saying this is still an issue is in 2017! WTF? -

This is stupid... Waze directs me on a road, and that road has been taken away long back, and walled out. I try to enter a 'road block', at that same location. It does not allow me, but asks me to do on arrows and those arrows are on other roads... And I am trying to get Waze to enter that road as blocked, and I accidentally put the road block on the other road. And I can't undo that..., however much I try... That's what led me to search online for answers..., but I find that everybody seems to be having this problem, and nobody has the answers...
I was excited about community development and contributing to build a reliable reference. But when errors of people are going to get entered into the system; I doubt on how reliable this is going to be.. -

This thread goes back some time. Still I don't see any change to allow deleting alerts made by mistake. This would help map accuracy.

Not being able to correct an erroneous post is definatly a negative.

Sometimes you cant place a report right at the point needed, for example with roadworks, accident or whatever because you have to pay attention to the road. So It would be nice to be able edit reports in the way of moving them on the map and deleting them if need be.

Without the ability to erase a report posted erroneously or no longer applicable, the application loses its credibility
