Send eta in Android auto
Really looking for the send eta feature as I have a vehicle that you can connect with Android Auto.

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

It would be nice to have the ability to share my drive when connected through my Ford Focus RS headunit on Android Auto. I can share my drive on my phone but once connected to android auto, the option disappears.

This is a huge limitation. I love the ability to be tied into my vehicle and hands free, but I need to be able to send my wife and kids my ETA with all the Atlanta traffic.

Please add the eta, it's the best way for me to quickly let my wife know when I'll be home from work in traffic.

Yes just bought a new car and my wife loves the eta part of waze so she knows when to have dinner on the table!

Google Maps +android auto can share route. So should not be hard to get it for Waze

ETA sending is valuable. It's far too cumbersome to do the sending from the mobile device first, then plugging in.

Please add this! It is extremely annoying to have to start nav on my phone, send ETA, THEN connect the USB cable to activate Android Auto.

Yes please.. you can however start your route. Send the eta from your phone and afterwards connect it to AA to send your eta. But this is so annoying. You should be able to use this feature in AS aswell

Running WAZE on Android Auto is great but it misses some functions that makes it have to be added before connectiong to Android Auto.
It misses the possebility to create a VIA route.
It misses the possebility to send an ETA
It misses the view bar when a friend is also is heading your destination.Not important but yet i miss it, when someone honks at you the pop up is missing and you can't honk back

Totally agree, I have the exact same dilemma. I'm assuming they left this feature out of AA because of the 6 click limit. If they would either give us the option of sorting the contacts in recently used order, or put 'favorite' contacts at the top, a "send ETA" recipient could be selected with 2 clicks for the majority of cases.

I've been using Waze for a few years now, and just purchased a new car. I really like the Android Auto app and I was very happy to find Waze works with AA. But, I've spoiled my wife and she expects to see my ETA during my long work commute. This means I have to choose between using AA with Waze and have an unhappy wife, or use Waze without AA. Please add the ability to send ETA in Waze using Android Auto. This would keep the wife and I happy with Waze. Thank you.
