Adjustable maximum speed
For enviromental reasons i drive slower than the maximum allowed speed. Would be great if you could enter your maximum speed into waze in order to adjust your ETA
Great news! This feature is already available in Waze. It’s called Personalized ETA.
Personalized ETA setting is turned on in Settings – Navigation – Personalized ETA. Waze would analyze the drives you took in the past, calculate how long it took you to drive sections of the route, and compare this information with Waze’s estimates. Then, it uses this info to personalize your ETA whenever you search a route in Waze.
Important: Waze won’t analyze drives that you delete from your drive history. Deleting drives may disable Waze from personalizing your ETA until you take more drives.

Would be useful if we could customise it ourselves. When we drive another vehicle or depends on the business trip or holiday trip.

This doesn't solve the problem of driving different vehicles in different situations. Personalized ETA has no way of knowing which vehicle I'm driving or if I attached a trailer to it or not.

I don't see this feature in the UK version of the app I have. We drive a large van and therefore restricted to 60 on motorways and it would be useful to have that reflected in the time

Hi, please can you consider unmarking this ticket as complete?
Being able to specify a top speed specific to a certain journey will a beneficial feature so we can all get accurate pre-trip routing.
As implemented the “prediction” feature seems to give “ok” ETAs a while after one starts driving, but my driving style with a trailer is nothing like with a high performance car
Today with an 100kph max load (that I try to keep to 80kph) Waze kept trying to send me down a highway route that’s 100km longer than a direct rural route that more closely matches my target driving speed with heavy loads. If I’d followed Waze’s route I’d have wasted an hour of time and 20 litres of fuel. That’s not what the app is about!

This feature is okay but sometimes you have to speed because waze did not accurately predict the arrival time. Need to customize this feature. I'd rather know arrival time based on posted speed.

I can't finde this feature in my app, personalized ETA. I live in Spain.
In Spain, some industrial vehicles have a limited maximum speed and can't drive at the maximum speed of the road.
It would be great if it coud be configurated to a maximum speed for each vehicle.

I drive a trailer tooo. It would be nice to just select a max speed and have Waze calculate based on that

When towing a trailer, you often drive long distances and have the most use of Waze. Being able to limit/capping the speed seems like a no-brainer and a function that really should be there in any serious GPS app. My Tomtom 720 I bought some 15 years ago had it!!! I recently did a 2500 km "trip" (megatrip) and really missed seeing reliable arrival times.
Also, truckers probably use other apps because Waze doesn't support this. Adding all the trucks and lorries to the Waze data feed should be a massive contribution to traffic data.
Also, capping on, say 80 km/h tells Waze that this driver is doing 80 because he/she wants to, not because traffic is slow (say on 110 km/h or unrestricted freeways).

In most of the US all trailers vehicles have a lower speed limit than non trailers on highways...

For ecological reasons, I would like to be able to set my speed limit at 110 km/h. Waze could take this into account in his route planner and the calculation of the journey time. This has an important effect when there is no official speed limit (German motorways) or when motorways make detours that are only of interest when driving fast (in France, for example).

In The Netherlands you're only allowed to drive at 90 kmh when towing a trailer or caravan. Adjusting the maximum speed level would be very handy.

In the UK you have to drive at a reduced speed limit when towing or driving a larger vehicle so being able to add custom vehicles so it will alert when exceeding your reduced speed limit would be advantageous.

Even if you travel the exact speed limit your entire trip, the arrival time will constantly go up over a long trip. It's as if Waze just takes the average travel speed of all users over a particular stretch of road at around that time and assumes that will be the speed you will go as well.

I drive 55mph max because I have a 1934 car.

Agreed. I often drive slower than the 130km/h, for fuel economic reasons.
