On the road, it's very difficult for drivers to provide feedback on a reported error.
On Android Auto, this is prohibited.
Users rarely respond to chat.
Waze has new alerts, such as schools and speed bumps.
I suggest adding a new option to the Error menu (there's a free corner) that could be called Missing Alert. -

Alerts for various types of regional alerts (within a given geographical radius of origination). While driving through said areas, utilize an active one touch icon on the screen for rapid response. This could either directly alert authorities or maybe open your phone to dial 911.

During Child Abduction Alerts or Amber Alerts, police locations should be hidden as this could aid a child abductor in trafficking/kidnapping and harming the child by evading police.

I believe strongly in the waze app. I'm saying your app is conceptually innovated. Waze would be a great aid in finding kidnapped children. The built in features and the Waze community would save lives and be a huge service to the general public. You should see the financial benefits and if you cannot reexamine your business model. You should do implament icons and banners in waze today to assist in Amber Alerts. Do this right now. Don't wait till another organization does this first. The hell with voting and other time wasting measures. Lead the way or become irrelevant. Move, go, ASSP. Best regards.

I agree. Waze users are on the road and the most likely to see the car

First I would like to say I am a huge fan of your app. This morning as I was driving into work I received an Amber Alert on my phone. I read the description of the vehicle and continued on my way. As I was driving I noticed more police than usual on the highway. I posted the location of the police on Waze without thinking. When I got to work I realized that I could have posted where a police car was during the Amber Alert, and the vehicle the police are searching for could have driven a different route. I asked you if you can please disable the police reported ahead feature during Amber Alerts. This could potentially save a life and help apprehend a murder suspect. Hopefully the girl is found alive and the suspect is arrested.

@waze Is there a way to program into WAZE a type of #AMBER-ALERT. In the case of missing persons or SERIOUS MAJOR vehicle accidents in WAZE routes; (occurred 2hrs ago phx az and currently).

More drivers may actually read AMBER alerts if they show the driver they are in the pertinent location.

Need an area to report / post AMBER ALERT important information being given to drivers from CHP on overhead (Bright Yellow Digital) marquis. You have this for weather, roadkill, vehicle on shoulder but drivers need to be able to post urgent or emergency info.

People have to look at the road, not at the childrens.

good idea, but most newer smart phones (at least android) will push these alerts to you automatically through another app.

I was thinking of something that would benefit users and set your program even further apart from others. With your extensive and ever growing users, incorporating Amber Alerts. Notifications to users on those details would get numerous eyes looking. The more eyes looking the better chance of finding children quicker. Just a thought I had. Your application is awesome. Keep up the great work

How about adding a push out to Wazers when there is an Amber Alert. We are already alert on the road for obstacles, etc. Push out vehicle details, child picture, and a way of reporting. Then funnel the reports back to the police.
