The requests to change the imperial measuring unit from feet to yards have been ongoing since at least 2016. It is now 2023, how difficult is it to do? Do you actually have a development team that are capable of making such a small enhancement?
It's pathetic that this STILL hasn't been done.

Great idea. I'm more comfortable with metric units but want the speed to match road signs.

Stating distances to go in feet is very irritating. It has put me off an otherwise excellent application

Hybrid units, the ability for example to use imperial speed measurement and metric distance measurements and vice versa. Handy for people who prefer distance in kilometers but live somewhere where speed is in miles. A minor thing to add, Google maps already has this

Please give option in settings of using yards instead of feet. Nobody in the UK uses feet for road distances.

Option to show and speak Miles & Yards instead of Miles & Feet. Feet is a confusing unit to use while driving!

It's my bugbear, too. I have a good idea what a distance is in yards; but not in feet. (Unless I do the mental arithmetic - not a good idea when driving and navigating.)

Have an Automatic option for speedometer and distance units that shows miles or km based on the region.

Please use yards instead of feet (at least for UK drivers). In UK miles/Yards/km is used, not feet for distance measuring. It's much easier to estimate when to action when the short distance is given in Yards. Or at least let the user's choose Miles/Yards in the settings. Thanks

Agreed, or at least when your install the app for the first time it should default to the local units rather than kmh

I am in the UK and have grown up mostly using Metric units. Most of the world uses the metric system for scientific measurement.

Yes the UK uses Miles and MPH on the roads. So we are stuck with it for some things. Apparently, it costs too much to change.

But please can we have the option of selecting Metric measurements for smaller things?

eg.
Metres instead of Yards / Feet
Centimetres instead of Inches

Having some kind of selector would be great, so then people can choose exactly what they want, for each unit.

Came back to Waze again after 3 years to see if they have implemented yards instead of feet. It's the reason I stopped using it because it used to drive me crazy. Amazed to find that this serious shortcoming has still not been addressed. Large distances in feet mean nothing to UK users. The standard unit used here is yards. Why is this simple request still not been implemented? Ridiculous. Every other sat nav supports yards. Uninstalling. I'll try again in another 3 years.

I’ve always found it odd that Waze doesn’t do this.

I just started using Waze yesterday. I've had enough of it already after just one day. I found these forums while looking for the (surely it must be there but I just can't find it) option to sort my saved places alphabetically. It's looking a lot like the basic things which a huge number of people are asking for, are also things which would be so easy to implement (e.g feet / 3 = yards, there, that was easy Waze wasn't it). Yet these are the things that Waze refuses to implement. How hard is it to divide by 3? How hard it is to sort a list alphabetically? I think I'll switch to an alternative.

In the UK we do not measure driving distances in feet but yards and miles.
