Can we have it that if you need to monitor your average speed between two points (Cameras, Toll booths, Rally Racing ETC)

Something you can start then stop at any point. A simple feature that would be huge. to tie it in to the application you could have it auto ask if you have entered an average speed area and if you want to report it.

Use the start and stop to mark the road.

I am sure WAZE has missed a trick but don't slate them for not doing it. they are providing a FREE product. And a good one at that. Adding 100 features at once makes a product unreliable. you add and test a few then add some more.

Average speed is also used in norway

Nowadays I think is essential to show on Waze which type of speed limit camera we are approaching.
The speed limit cameras are great but, more and more, we are getting average speed camera on the road, and the current alerts are not showing them as it should be

Warning for "above average speed". Either based on "all" users speed on the current road or just previous speeds of the current user.
It could be just a short "blip" or a "check your speed" message every minute or so...

That way there would be no need for waze maps to know the speed limit of every single road. Which will never be accurate anyway.

Coyote App also does in a very user-friendly way. This is a missed opportunity for Waze.

Is the Netherlands we have something called 'trajectcontrole' which is a speedtrap with the camera's registering the times of passing and calculate the average speed. For example, the Dutch A4, A13 and A20 and a couple of other highways have such speedtraps.

It would be nice if Waze could registered these times too and calculate the current average speed in those sections.

The app 'FlitsNav' does something similar.

Would be a big plus if this is added to the features of Waze.

Comon people it's not hard to implement and average speed ( I don't care about ANPR honestly) is being implemented more and more on the roads..

What (I)coyote does, Waze can't/Will ? Also the average speed is noted on te screen... This is The Only BAD point of Waze... Shame On you ;-)

Idd, het zou handig zijn moest je kunnen zien dat je in een zone aan het rijden bent met traject controle. Als dan nog eens je gemiddelde snelheid zou kunnen zien die je dan al hebt zou zeer intressant zijn, zeker in belgie. Bedankt! :-)

Not only Belgium and the Netherlands, but also Germany, France, UK, Italy, ...

Lot of these limited speed zone camera are in use in Belgium and Netherlands. It's important that is Waze give a high priority to them.

At this moment, this function is still a 'low priority' for Waze... How is this possible... There were more than 305.000 speeding tickets fined in one year in Belgium only by this system... And it has only just started being implemented...

This needs to be done by creating a 'zone' along the road instead of focusing on individual cameras, as the purpose of this type of camera is detecting average speed between them and NOT the speed at their location.

In the UK we have a lot of areas on the motorways where our average speed is measured so it would be helpful if we could tap an onscreen button that would tell us our average speed from that point.
