It is important to move over when there are obstacles on the side of the road for everyone's safety. As a tow company owner, I never want to put my people in arms way. Help us save lives by moving over and letting people know emergency equipment is on the shoulder.

Many states have laws that require cars to change lanes when they see a breakdown or emergency responders. Please ask your state to pass this law. In the meantime Waze can be the hero and do it anyway.
Protect Emergency Responders, Tow truck drivers, Highway Maintenace crews and more.
They all deserve to get home safe after work.
Waze, please add this info to all of your clients riding down the highway. It protects everyone.

Im a tow truck operator and in New Mexico we had a guy named Bobby that was killed. That's what sparked Bobby's law. This would be very useful and not cost anyone any money to utilize on to waze.

We need this. A tow truck driver is hit and killed ever 6 days in the US. That means every week a family loses a parent, a spouse, a sibling, a child, someone who provides and supports that household. Any effort to help save a life is a noble and worthy cause.

We have been in the wrecker business almost 50 yrs, it's dangerous out there, having motorist move over is greatly appreciated

Too many accidents where these first responders are getting injured or losing their lives!

I have been hit before on the highway and if this was implemented it might not have happened.
