alternate route needed from Lake City FL to Augusta GA
I recently traveled from Lake City, FL to Augusta, GA. The route that Waze took us included about 75-80 miles along US 80 east. While this is a fine road, it is very isolated with no rest stops, only 2 gas stations, and only small rural side roads. If I were to have a flat tire or other emergency, I would be in trouble. There are no mile markers or other landmarks and while I did not try this, but I am not sure that I would have cell service or how far first responders are located. Can you please find an alternate route? Thank you.
