Please hide the SEARCH BOX! I use Android Auto and the box just sits there taking up real estate and blocking view of the top right quadrant of my screen! I am NOT Typing on my Android Auto screen so I do not need a search box!

Waze admin said the search bar is hiding in roaming mode, but it's not always happening, sometimes I have to restart Waze so that it would hide. Another problem is that when Waze goes to night color scheme most of the time one of them or both remain white which is bothering my vision.

So, with new update Waze's horizontal screen came to 1/2 with my waze, search bar and vehicle type, and other half free map with no destination set up. None of those bars can be hiden. Did you think about who drives with no destination but need the map on at least almost full screen? Listen to your users. Spotify removed the widget then brought it back again after users complaints, you should do the same. I just left Waze to use Google Maps as my default car map. Congrats.
