Stop automatically rerouting to Waze's preferred route
Your selected route should be "sticky" or require permission to change.
Waze is great, we all know that. But there is one issue that is almost service-breaking. When I select an alternate route, as opposed to waze's preferred route, if I make one minor change (such as backing out to the left when Waze expected me to go right), Waze will put me back on its preferred route.
This happens every time. More than once Waze has rerouted me onto the Interstate in rush hour even though I had explicitly chose a different route 10 seconds earlier. There is no voice prompt or notification that this happens, you only notice when you realize you're on a different path.

I strongly agree with this. I often choose a low-toll route (not nearly as long as the no-toll route nor nearly as expensive as the fastest route), and without fail Waze reroutes me and costs me money. I understand this app is based on real-time traffic updates, but if there is an option to choose alternate routes, it shouldn’t automatically switch back to the fastest route without at least asking for permission.

It’s very presumptuous and annoying to look at Waze and suddenly realize it has automatically and unbeknownst to me changed my route to some fakakta route through a very busy and often hazardous area when it’s going to save me all of maybe a couple minutes.

I would love the option for non automatic route changes, with a 'time difference warning', so you can choose yourself wich option is better for you.

When I choose one of the 3 route options DON’T change it just because I take a different road along the way. As long as I am still able to get to the chosen route don’t change to a new one automatically. People know the advantages of roads local to their starting point. There is no need to override those choices.
