Warning: Vehicle stopped on shoulder ahead
Disable warnings for vehicles on shoulder. In high density areas there is always a vehicle on the shoulder. To the point that it will stop my internet radio every 5 minutes for another warning. This is especially annoying when the vehicle is 30 feet off the road and NOT a hazard. Yes, you can click "not there", but that in itself is a hazard every 5 minutes to click it off. It's a nuisance, a danger, and just not useful for many.
It possible to set voice notification on/off for almost any alert via Settings – Alerts&Reports – Reports.

It is 100% intentional that this has not been added. Given that this exact thing is the cause of the majority of the people who stop using the app to do so- you'd think they would have fixed it by now!
I stopped using Waze for anything other than periodic use about a week after I got it; had they fixed this ridiculous shortcoming I would drive with it every day, all the time.

100% Agree!!
In addition to have the ability to select alert notification individually would be great! -

Not only are these annoying, the voice is startling "Watch Out!". Can this not be something simple like "Hazard reported on side of road"? Even the Police alert is softer than this and I care more about that.
I would like to be able to turn this alert off altogether, however.

Search on in the box on the right side for "car stopped on shoulder", and also vote for that one... it already has more votes, and is almost in the top 10 of most requested features.

I see that this is from 2013. Does anyone know why this feature hasn't been added? Seems like a no brainer.

I am not interested in cars on shoulders; it's a needless distraction.

Seriously. There needs to be some way to stop this insane vehicle stopped on shoulder alert. Maybe if Waze stopped giving points to people marking vehicles on the shoulder, it would cease to be a issue. Until then, I just have to shut Waze down because I get so tired of getting that same notification over and over and over for stuff that doesn't impact me whatsoever. Enough, Waze. Listen!

I AGREE !! Not helpful at all. Why in the world can't I just turn off the notification for cars on the side of the road? I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT A CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT A CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT A CAR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. Waze, please allow me to turn off this "feature".

Yes - please allow us to disable this warning. It is extremely annoying and disruptive to what is otherwise a great service.

We really need the ability to filter what alerts to be made aware of. Weather and things on the shoulders do not concern me most of the time.
I would also like to see the ability to have different audio levels for turn-by-turn directions and alerts. I should be able to have alerts be audible and keep directions muted if I choose to.

Waze mutes my radio too many times to tell me there is a vehicle stopped on the shoulder. Wish I could find the kids who think this is important to report

Could not agree more! This is by far the biggest bug in Waze and a huge distraction while driving.

Please offer this feature. I drive about 100 miles round trip everyday on the freeways in Southern California. I get this alert about 40 times per day.
It is incredibly annoying. It is also pretty useless. It constantly draws my attention away from the road for something that is about 5 lanes away and nobody cares about.
The only reason so, so many people report it is because they get points for reporting things.
