Dark Theme on Carplay Issues
There is some issue with map and dark theme on CarPlay after some of last updates, whet even you chose "dark theme always", on CarPlay at day it's light theme and only when auto light turn on head lights? than waze switch map to dark theme.

Waze is set to dark/night mode. When connecting to the vehicle I get the normal bright carplay map instead of the dark mode map. When I load Waze on the phone the carplay map turns to dark mode. It didn’t do this before the last update.
