Waze map on cluster screen (behind steering wheel) on Android Automotive cars

Electric vehicles powered by Android Automotive from brands like Renault, Volvo or Polestar have the Waze app ready.

However, the application only works in the main infotainment screen and does not replicate the maps in the cluster screen like Google Maps does.

This is a big miss in order to use Waze instead of Google Maps, since it is very practical to see the map behind the steering wheel.

We hope in a near future you can have access to cluster screen and replicate the Waze maps there.

    Prefer to use Waze, but without this functionality I will only use the built in Google Maps in my new Volvo xc40 recharge. Such a pitty… you lost a Waze heavy user here that always supported the community.

    I always have to use Google maps and Waze at the same time because this feature is lacking

    I’ve used only Waze for years but moved back to using Google Maps due to lack of this and battery preconditioning feature in the Waze app on my Polestar.

    Just took delivery of my Polestar last week. Waze was the first app I downloaded but it only worked once and then I got an error message saying that I couldn't log in. Had to uninstall and reinstall. Worked the first time and then I got the same error message. Would love to see all the bugs worked out and have Waze available on the "cluster screen" as Waze is my #1 navigation choice.

    In my Volvo C40 I get the distance and minor details of the next action I need to perform. I would rather see the map or a detailed view of the action with an overview of the lanes or roundabout with an arrow showing what your need to do.

    Waze will move from my no. 1 spot to no. 3 in my ne Polestar. Apple Maps does this. Get your act together.

    I hope Google doesn't destroy the Waze community by ignoring development (or just google graveyarding it completely). I really am likely to stop using waze given this missing feature in Android Automotive.

    Critical to have this - stopped using Waze as other options that support it are so much easier/better to use in my Polestar
