Waze map on cluster screen (behind steering wheel) on Android Automotive cars
Electric vehicles powered by Android Automotive from brands like Renault, Volvo or Polestar have the Waze app ready.
However, the application only works in the main infotainment screen and does not replicate the maps in the cluster screen like Google Maps does.
This is a big miss in order to use Waze instead of Google Maps, since it is very practical to see the map behind the steering wheel.
We hope in a near future you can have access to cluster screen and replicate the Waze maps there.

I have a Polestar 4, first time I have a car with Android Automotive and was so disappointed to discover that Waze is not showing on the cluster screen. I unfortunately won't use Waze in the car without this functionality.

I have a 2023 Volvo V60, I need it! Please fix it!
And the radar alerts don't make any sound, and the rest only have a notification. We need them to sound like in the mobile version. Fix it too please.

I love waze but not having it in the driver's display makes it unusable in the P2 as you need the main screen for other functions at times.

This definitely needs to be added in the Polestar 2 car. Getting a black screen when you want to use waze is unacceptable.

It's been forever since Waze was added to Android automotive. Why isn't the cluster view available yet. I was ok being patient, but this delay (over a year) is pretty crazy.

Got a Volvo V60 2024, hoping it would have been solved with the latest update, but alas...This is a critical feature! As Waze is owned by Google I cannot understand why Google Maps works and Waze does not...

Add this function.(2024 polestar lrdm) Sucks having to open and navigate in waze tgen opening, navigating in Google, tgen cancelling nav in Google Maps and reopening waze to have waze on infotainment and maps on drivers display.

I specifically came to this website, searched for this issue, and created an account to express how important this is to me.
I have a new BMW. I'm not sure if it has Android Automotive, but it does support Android Auto apps appearing behind the steering wheel. I'm guessing it's the same implementation as this feature request.
It's the only thing preventing me from using Waze. I really want to use it, but it would be silly to when Google Maps shows me turn by turn navigation on that screen and Waze doesn't.
