Roll it back. The new version is unusable in Android Auto
Roll it back to last version
It no longer works correctly with Android Auto
Adding addresses by voice no longer works.
There are too many buttons now that used to be under 1 button that was way easier to get to rather than dialing through this mess.
Tha map is covered by big black text balloons that don't need to be so large.
It doesn't load correctly half the time.
I literally have to disconnect my phone from the car, enter my destination, start it, then hook it back up to the Android Auto.
Harder to report police or hazards.
I just don't get how this was released.
Ive heard many beta people didn't like it

I have a 2020 Lexus RC300h and the android auto app is almost unusable now. Trying to select the right icon, especially the "still there" or "not there" buttons for hazards reported by other uses is incredibly difficult. The reporting hazards buttons don't seem to work properly. When you click on a button that is going to take some time to do something there should be some indication that it is doing something and not just stalled.
When trying to search for a destination, when the keyboard pops up on screen it often sends the cursor to the app selection on the right of the screen, which closes the keyboard. This leads to multiple attempts to open the keyboard and hope this time it doesn't send the cursor off the app so the keyboard stays open and I can actually enter a destination.
The new app is atrocious. That it was ever released in this state is an abismal business decision. Whoever is in charge should be fired.

I have a 2019 Mazda CX-5. Each time I click on the screen, it takes forever to go to the page. I thought it was a cable issue and replaced it. Its still there. I can't report or search without taking forever. The click is registered but to get it actioned takes forever. none of the other apps Google Maps, YouTube Music have this issue. Besides, it works fine on iOS.

The new version sucks. I can't view my scheduled drives anymore, only make new ones hoping it'll remember it. It triggeres my anxiety as I am very bad with time. Please bring the old one back

This new version is impossible to use. I have stopped using Waze and gone to Google maps. The biggest plus of Waze was the alert system and hazard reporting. This function is incredibly broken right now. The default button is the search button which you can't even use (it says not while driving) and to report anything you have to scroll now through a million little black balloons then it freezes between each click. I almost got into accidents twice and quickly abandoned it all together.

Same issue. The navigation textboxes became way bigger, but have huge rounded corners and big margins and have place for less text, requiring more scrolling.
The new UI is harder to use and requiring more scrolling isn't driver friendly.

I am going through the same thing. The new Waze does not work properly with voice commands, some saved addresses are gone, e.g. "Work". I also have a black banner in the lower right that covers part of the route with some testing values: Step: 1, Template: NavigationTemplate, Permits: disabled

I'm having the same issues and I agree with the original poster. Waze Devs, when will this get fixed? Also rolled back to 4.93.1.0 to make it usable again.

I reported this to Waze as it is unusable as it is. I also installed the 4.93.1.0 apk which has fixed the issues. However, I received the following reply from Waze Customer Support, which is absolutely impossible to fathom:
Hi Wazer,
I looked into your report and found that what you described is actually how Google Assistant in Waze on Android Auto is currently intended to work.
"Drive home’ and "Drive to work'' are the only voice commands available in Waze on Android Auto at the moment. Our developers are working on implementing full Google Assistant functionality.
We’re constantly looking for ways to improve Waze, and we appreciate your feedback.
Yours sincerely,
Waze Support TeamI just replied with:
The prior version already supported (nearly) full Google Assistant functionality. It supported commands like "navigate to xxxx" or "let's go to xxxx" and "go to the nearest post office" or "let's go to [name in contact list with an address]" etc. Why on earth was that functionality removed?
We'll see what they come up with now...

On a non touch screen display, the "alert" buttons lose focus while you are trying to select "still there" or "not there". I attempt to use the rotary dial in my Mazda to select the buttons only to have the selection move back to the search button. This completely breaks this functionality.

You can't voice activate addresses anymore. You can't toggle to you "is it still there" questions. The map is blocked by big black direction boxes. There's 4 more buttons to circle through that used to be under 1 button if you needed those features, which was seldom. Now you have to cycle through 10 things instead of 4
Please revert ir make an Android Auto specific version
