Include a button "Need gas", that searches for nearest gas stations. Clicking in one, create/inlcude a route to it.

In the settings choose Gas stations – Sort stations by – Distance from current location.
Then, in the left panel tap on the search bar and you’ll get a gas station icon directly under the search bar (along with parking, restaurant and cafe icons). Tap on the icon and you’ll get the list of closest gas stations. If you’re in active navigation Waze will also calculate the reroute time to get to each gas station.

Sometimes things happen quickly. The shortcut has been available since this morning. It was probably unavailable for some time due to an error in the backend.

With Android Auto, it's difficult to search for a fuel station while driving. It would be extremely helpful if there were a shortcut available on the categories tab.

Need a button that shows gas stations around you 5 miles out so that when you are driving and need to find one the gas prices that we update show up for the selected station closest to you. For instance I see a QT near me so I tap on it and the gas prices show up.
