Allow the ability to specify the location of a report.
When reporting an issue, crash, traffic jam, fire, Police activity, the system only gives you the option to report on the road you are on. So for example, if you are at an interchange where you can see the activity on a highway or interstate, but you are not on that road, you can't actually report it properly. Maybe it can be set up that you make a report, and like in google maps, you have a pin dropped on the map that you can move to the correct location, if where you are is not the location of the activity. Example: look at Cromwell Park Drive, Glen Burnie, MD on google maps. You will see that there is an interchange where I-97 passes by. You can see the activity on the highway, even if you are not on it.

I wish we could enter hazards and closures when we are past the road. It’s often impossible to do it right when we’re there.

Unable to add an alert after passing a scene.
It's difficult to report an alert before or at the time of the scene.
I suggest being able to back track to load an alert after passing the scene, whether it may be road works, traffic officers or even accidents -

try the reporting options under "help and feedback" in the app

Agree, I reported an accident today but it showed at the point I was stuck at and not the next junction where the accident was

It would be nice if I could report an accident or road closure after I'm not in that location anymore! Sometimes you have to pull over to report it. But then you're not at that location anymore. If there was a way to report an accident or road closure If you're within 5 miles of that location

You need to be able to log a hazard after you have passed. Even as a passenger i struggle to get a hazard reported in the right location because I will have passed it by the time i can submit it or because its on the other side of the road not in my lane.

I couldn't agree more that this lack of ability to report a hazard etc like a pothole, at a later time and when in a different location, is utterless ridiculous, and a major flaw in the app. Such a disappointment as I thought at last I'd found an app that I could use to help other motorists avoid the major potholes round here at present. Absolutely useless though if I've got to stop in the road, sat on top of the pothole in order to log it's location, especially on busy main roads. Especially frustrating as it seems from some sources that the app used to have this functionality a few years ago! It seems like I'll have to look elsewhere

This is still enormously, critically needed. If you don’t see the police car until you pass alongside it, which is very typical at night, by the time you have the app open you’re too far past to send the report accurately.

Can we have a facility to add a hazard after the drive has been completed, e.g. adding location of potholes.

This is basic and the feet dragging shows you're either in the pocket of the police or you're not for safety or the rights of your users.

Dear Waze, adding the abilty for the user to manipulate the location of a report in the interface should be a rudimentary task that any of your software developers with basic coding skills could realistically iterate in 5 min or less. Have your people Nike this simple feature, pronto! Thanks!

How is this not a feature 12 years later lmao only reason to use the app is police dodging and we can't even accurately mark this.

You can add reports using Google Assistant

Currently, you are only able to make reports in the exact spot you are driving through.
Live reporting whilst driving is very unsafe and using the phone while driving is illegal.I suggest there should be a feature where you can make reports that aren’t in the exact spot you currently traveling through.
This makes reporting safer and even can make the spot more accurate.Example, If I was driving and wanted to report there are police on a different road then I’m on “excluding the opposite side” I can’t.
If you think this is too powerful or could be abused somehow, then limit it to a kilometer/mile radius of your current location so you can still pin point where the report is.

There needs to be an option to place a icon at a specific point. For example, Driver sees a local law enforcement hiding and wants to alert others but driver has already driven past said location.
Basically while using Waze drivers can place markers along their route even if they have already driven a decent distance from where they want to place marker.

An easy way to solve this would be for Waze to remember the position when you started the report process and pinned whatever you end up choosing hundreds of feet down the road later at that initial position.

This is an absolute must to add to the application. So frustrating not to be able to correct the location of a report. 11 years after the first comment in this forum and still not fixed??

Eek. I'm new to Waze, from the UK, and have noticed pot holes and roadworks in many places near me. I've often not been at liberty to flag hazards etc on the go, no places to pull over, so surely there must be a way I can do it later, when I'm back home and online?
