Reduced Speed Limit
New feature of showing speed limit is almost useless in the United Kingdom because it only shows:
- Where speed changes from 70 to 40, 30 or 20
- Where speed changes from 60 to 30 or 20
- Where speed changes from 50 to 20.
UK Goverment Guidance of 2024 gives instructions on transitional limits, where a short length of 40mph or 50mph is used between a national limit and another length on which a lower limit is in force, with 600m or more if possible (with allowances for 400m and 300m in some critera)
This means any newer speed limits will not show on Waze because of the 22mph difference required for the feature to display. 40mph zones on motorways for roadworks have a 600m 50mph buffer, and as a result 700 metres away from a 40mph zone, the driver will get no alert on Waze whilst they are at 70mph as the road gives them a 50mph buffer for 600m then the 40mph construction zone.
Please reduce the allowance to 10mph or 20mph so that this feature can actually get approrpraite usage in the UK.

Here from the US to say that instead of the current 35kph (21.7mph) threshold, a 30kpk (18.6mph) threshold is desirable here too.
Pretty much the only reduced SL alerts we've seen are at toll booths, where we already have a more specific toll booth permanent hazard. (Besides the occasional errant reduced SL alert from incorrect SL data.)
