lane guidance
Dear Waze Team,
Good day, I am a user based in Malaysia. I have been using Waze as my primary navigation tool for many years and truly appreciate the innovation and convenience it provides. However, after years of usage, I have noticed a main feature where improvements could be made.
Before Waze became my go-to navigation app, I used PAPAGO GPS. One standout feature in PAPAGO was its lane guidance system. Upon approaching an exit, a pop-out window would display an image of the specific junction with arrows clearly indicating the correct lane to take. This visual aid was particularly helpful when navigating complex or overlapping flyovers in cities like Kuala Lumpur.
While Waze offers a basic lane guidance system with arrows, I feel it could be enhanced to match or exceed the clarity provided by older GPS systems. The lack of a detailed visual aid in Waze sometimes results in missing the correct exit, especially in busy urban environments.
Given that earlier GPS devices successfully implemented lane guidance with images, I wonder why this feature has been omitted in a modern, online GPS application like Waze in 2024.
Please don’t take my feedback as criticism; rather, it is shared out of a genuine appreciation for Waze and a desire to see it improve further. As a long-time user, I simply wanted to share my experience and suggestions for your consideration.

When exiting a freeway it says "in 1 mile use the right 2 lanes to exit right", but about 300 feet from the start of the off ramp the right most lane splits into 2 lanes and the lane that was the second lane from the right for the previous 3/4 of a mile plus does not exit the freeway. There is not enough time to change lanes if there are cars next to you. It should say "In 1 mile use the right lane to exit right". When you get closer to where the right lane splits into 2 lanes it should say, "stay in the right lane to exit right, then use either lane to exit right"
