Because I use Waze and travel between countries in Europe, I felt the need for the following functionalities:

• When planning a route, it should show which countries require a vignette, if you pass through areas that require additional fees, and specify what those areas are. (For example, I planned a trip from Germany to Hungary and received notifications that I needed special permits to travel, but I didn’t know what permits were required, which caused me some panic.)

• While heading towards Vienna on the highway, there were signs indicating that highway A21 was blocked, yet Waze was showing the route along A21. It would be helpful to have the option to exclude a highway or a road section. Since this wasn’t possible, I ended up taking a random route.

• Country borders outlined on the map.

• Display somewhere in a corner how far it is to the border between countries.
