Waze on Android Auto drains battery even when charging unlike Google Maps
Device: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE
Android version: 15, One UI 7.0
Waze version: 5.10.0.2
Car setup: Android Auto, 15W fast charging
Issue:
When using Waze with Android Auto and YouTube Music, my phone battery drains even while connected to fast charging (15W charging is displayed).
When I switch to Google Maps under the exact same setup, my phone charges normally and the battery level increases as expected.
This suggests that Waze is consuming more power than necessary on Android Auto. Please investigate and optimize Waze performance/battery efficiency for this scenario.
