Enhanced Visual Warning for Speed and Red-Light Cameras
I would like to propose an additional visual alert system for speed and red-light cameras within Waze. The idea is to introduce a transparent red overlay that flashes on the screen as drivers approach a camera location.
This feature would serve as a strong visual cue, especially for users who may not always be actively looking at their GPS display or listening to audio directions. The flashing overlay would draw immediate attention and help ensure drivers are more aware of upcoming enforcement zones.
To keep the experience user-friendly and adaptable, I recommend that this alert be offered as an optional setting within the app, allowing users to enable or disable it according to their preference.
This enhancement could greatly improve safety and awareness, making Waze even more effective as a real-time navigation and driver assistance tool.

Would be cool for speed cameras but there would have to be a way to turn it off for red light cams. They're everywhere and I don't think most people are out here just driving through reds on a regular basis. With speed cameras yeah because if you drive normally with the flow of traffic you'd still be affected as no one follows limits to the letter.
