Request for Browser-Based Chat on Waze Live Map
Hello Waze Team,
Currently, Waze’s chat-based information sharing is limited to the app, so I think it would be very useful if the same kind of communication could also be done from the browser version of Waze Live Map.
For example, if users could click on a specific location on Live Map and use a chat function to send messages to app users around that area, it would make it much easier to share local information in a simple and timely way.
In normal situations, it would be helpful if people could use a computer to post local updates such as “There is a special sale happening here” or “A festival is taking place in this area.” This would make it easier to share useful community information with people nearby.
In addition, during disasters or emergencies, I hope this function could also be used to share more specific local information, such as shortages of supplies, places where support is needed, or the situation at evacuation shelters. If people could send messages from a computer to app users in the affected area, it would not only help deliver important information more quickly, but could also give reassurance to people there by showing that information is being shared and that others are paying attention to the situation.
In this way, if chat functionality were also available on the browser version of Waze Live Map, I believe it could become a more useful and practical feature in many situations, from sharing local community information in everyday life to supporting communication and coordination during disasters.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider adding this feature in the future.
Thank you very much.
