Improve one-way arrow visibility on editors/apps and add 3D/signage-style directions
Dear Waze Team,
Thank you for your continuous operation and ongoing improvements to both the Waze Map Editor (WME) and the Waze app. I would like to propose a feature request to improve the visibility and design of one-way arrows.
Currently, one-way arrows present visibility challenges in both the editor and the live app:
In the Map Editor (WME):
One-way arrows are mainly displayed in black. While they are relatively clear on light-colored roads (like yellow), they blend into the background on green or blue roads, making it extremely difficult to determine the traffic direction during detailed editing.
Suggested Solution: Add a white outline to the arrows or adjust their color dynamically based on the road color.
In the Waze App:
On the actual navigation screen, one-way arrows can also be hard to spot depending on the map background.
Suggested Solution: Make the arrows stand out more clearly against any background color, and introduce a 3D/stereoscopic or directional signage-style design so drivers can instantly recognize traffic flow.
Implementing these improvements will significantly enhance editing accuracy for editors and navigation safety for drivers. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
