report generation to local authorities
It would be a great feature if a master report could be generated daily in major metropolitan areas indicating reports by Wazers regarding potholes, faulty traffic lights etc so that these can be repaired quickly. Alternatively, a program could be made avaliable to them wherby they can monitor selected reports witin their city and dispatch officers or repair crews to sort ouy the problems. This could also be a great Waze marketing tool.

Waze is meant to be used by drivers of passenger vehicles only, so hazmat is non-applicable for Waze.

Waze could help better the society by allowing users to rate the quality of roads related to vehicle compatibility in order to avoid danger, as a bumpy road could be very dangerous for a truck that carries gas or any other HAZMAT, along the tracks with many holes.
Also, users could write down the places where there are people in danger or abandonment (drug addicts, alcoholics, victims of crime, homelessness, etc.).
This could be a more powerful tool that could help society by allowing users to know better the safer route to follow, and also to the government authorities to have data to be able to take action to avoid the dangers of explosions by burning trucks, assaults, help people in need, etc.

This service is available to the Government service which maintains the roads. It is via the Waze CCP Platform which you can learn more about here:--->

When someone reports an accident or object on the road, have you thought about having a way to connect with the local authorities and have some kind of alert go directly to them so that they can respond quicker?

I agree with this. Users can update the local jurisdiction info and when a pothole has been reported say 3-5x (not necessarily individual times but maybe days) an email get sent to those responsible for road crews. Multiple day reportinfo is needed for country roads. There is a huge one that I finally reported but the road isn't highly traveled by wazers since I seem to be the only one reporting it.

Share heavy traffic and standstill traffic reports with city and state officials. Urge them to take measures to improve traffic flow. If necessary send officers to find cause of traffic issues, and direct traffic if necessary.
Pothole reports could go directly to local or state road repair crews.
Accident reports could go to local police or highway patrol.
I find that more and more people now use backroads, which makes them less and less desirable alternatives, and impacts the residents who live on those roads. Traffic is becoming a nightmare. -

On Montgomery County, Maryland, one can go online and report a pothole, which then generally gets fixed within a few days. Would be great if Waze can tap into services like that, automatically reporting potholes to the authorities who fix them.
