Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.

Great news! The ability to disable individual alert notifications is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

They're not just annoying they're distracting which is a safety issue. Why can we turn off all alerts except this one?

I agree with all those frustrated below who do not want this annoying feature that those of us on daily commutes do not need, but cannot shut off.

You would think going into the settings on the app and TURNING OFF all warnings would you know, turn off all warnings.
But NOOoooooooo!

makes no difference.Even when I am not using the app for navigation it won't shut the hell up.

I have turned off every warning possible in the app and still the damn red light camera warning goes off.
I DON"T CARE!
In San Francisco, every single light is a bloody red light camera.

I looked in the menus mentioned by dude463, and don’t see any option to disable red light camera notifications. Using iOS. Very frustrating aspect of an otherwise great app.

Still waiting Waze. Living next to a slew of them drives me crazy, when ALL other sounds are turned off, and it cuts my music/ phone call/ ANY other sound several times EVERY commute.

I finally gave wave a shot after a few years. And for this sole reason I’ll be getting rid of it. It’s a stupid feature anyways! If you’re dumb enough to go through a red light you deserve a ticket.

the red light camera alert doesn't make sense for daily commutes.
What are we supposed to do with that information, not run a red light? is not the kind of information that most drivers need, maybe only a subset and on non-daily commutes. Thank you -

Where I live there are cameras at every red light. Also when navigating with Car play the notification takes up almost one third of the screen, you dont even see the directions anymore. The popup allows me to say the camera is gone or not, but I don’t need this notification at all...or maybe allow disabling per crossing.

Agreed. It's annoyiung that you can disable say speed cameras but not red light camera warnings. I want other warnings, I just don't want red light camera ones because I sort of expect that I have to stop at a red light...

I don't run red lights. Nobody should run red lights. Anyone who does should have their license revoked. Stop encouraging people to run red lights and stop muting my music when I'm near one.
