Show username if nickname is empty.
If you choose to display your name and the 'Nickname' field is empty, you are still Anonymous. The username should be shown by default in this case.

From version 2.1 and on, nickname cannot be empty, and it is defaulted to the user name.

if you turn off anonymous and the nick is empty, you should get a one-off warning to clarify this behavior.

I'd like the way that missing nickname means anonymous. Only thing is that it is not clear enough in UI and for me it took weeks before I realized that I have to fill nick to be identified on map.

Yep, this is really a bug IMO.. If the nickname is blank, it should default to the username what's shown.
If it's a privacy issue, force the user to make a choice here.
