Configurable Shortcut/Hotkeys on main screen
Would be handy to have the option to add 2 or 3 of your most used functions or additional functions on the homescreen for easy access. For instance, it would be handy to be able to add a button to the homescreen that will automatically highlight petrol stations so you can hit it when you petrol light comes on

Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.

What!!!
only 14 votes.
This is crazy lol, I wish we could set our prefered icons on the report pane ...
In quebec our roads are terrible and I make my duty to signal potholes for the others ... -

Two bars at the bottom of screen iPhone 11 Pro. How do we remove the 2 shortcut bars? When I’m free driving without a destination they take 20% of the screen? Please remove them :)

I'm sure you have stats on the most frequent reports over all and for each user. There is plenty of space to add a customizable button or 2 or 3 for each user on the navigation screen. I know I would report a LOT more if it was easier and SAFER

I'd also like to single click to report certain traffic hazards or turn sound off! There are way too many clicks required to do simple things.

Agreed! I'd like to have. a single click to turn tolls off/on.

A custom report shortcut would be nice!

When I travel on the road one thing we often do is to report a vehicle stopped on shoulder. Please allow the users to customize the shortcut icons to the main screen from a list of icons from another menu. This will save time in going through 4 different levels to report an event. It will also help the driver to focus on the road more, less on the phone.

So surprised this isn't implemented. 99% of my alerts are "vehicle stopped at the side of the road". A button I can press to quickly submit this would be a godsend. It's too dangerous to do this while driving.

Add an obvious map shortcut icon (like a globe or something) across all app screens to allow the immediate return to the map from anywhere within the program.
When driving sometimes one can accidentally hit an icon and get lost on pages that are irrelevant to the task at hand...it is difficult and not entirely obvious (currently) to get back to the map page. This can be a safety/distraction issue.

Allow your 'favorites' within Waze to be placed on you mobile devices homescreen for one touch instant navigation to that place.
Almost like placing a browser bookmark right on your mobile homescreen that automatically launches your browser and takes you to that page.
Certainly removes a few button pushes when trying to navigate to a often traveled to destination like work or whatnot.

Agreed. I should have an instant 'pothole' button. Don't have time to plug in all the details after i hit the thing while i'm still driving!

Glad I saw this, as I was going to make the same suggestion. User defined shortcuts would seem to be a no-brainer with a program like this where so many users with different preferences and usages come into play. If it's already been implimented since the last mention, I can't seem to locate how to do it.

"cookie mode" is actually already suggested by someone else, search for "cookie-munching". I also propose another suggestion for cookies :-)

User-defined shortcuts would be indeed an excellent idea. I was about to propose a similar idea, but slightly different (but I prefer to add votes to gain visibility) : have some smart, highly-visible shortcuts display on the map.
* If speed = 0 and no itinerary => display the 2 first favorite destinations (usually home and work)
* If you drive but no itinerary => display the "cookie mode" (see my other suggestion) shortcut and "set destination"
* If you drive => display 2 shortcuts to report traffic jams and speed cameras (see the "Glob" app : interface is really nice)
* If you scroll the map => display "my location" and "change destination"
* When you've reached your destination => display "exit" and "new destination" -

in the menu have an option next to each item, to display or not a shortcut on the map. this allows users to have exactly what they want to appear over the map. maybe one might want just routing related icons, another may want mapping stuff, another report related...its up to the user
