"alerts only" mode should include rerouting notifications
Currently, there are 3 sound modes, which is great. "On", "Off" and "Alerts Only". I use "On", when I've never been there before and "Alerts Only" during my daily commute. I love the Alerts Only mode for a daily commute. Problem is, sometimes Waze sees an issue ahead during my commute and only makes a screen notification. I'd really want to be alerted about that.
So I'd like "Alerts Only" to consider a rerouting notification as an alert and not 'normal' navigation instructions.

Yes. Having an audible notification that you’re being rerouted would be very helpful. This past weekend we had Alerts Only on and missed that we were being rerouted.

it would be good if there was a commuting setting in the app. when we go to and fro from work to home we dont need the assistant telling us every turn and direction to take as most of us do the same route every day and pretty well know it. it would be good if it only mentioned any problems or delays on the route and which way is best to avoid it.

October 2018 and this feature still needs to be added. Drives me nuts when it's changed the route and I don't know until it is too late.

Yes. Would like to see an option (in more sound option settings) to automatically switch to Sound On when being rerouted

I second this idea, I think there should be an "I can take it from here" button that comes up once you are close to a frequent destination or on a frequently traveled route. I'm pretty good at finding my house or office but would still like to have Waze running for any changes in what lies ahead, but changes are for these trips I only wanted to know whether I should go highway or local streets and you don't need to tell me to turn left onto the street my house is on.

Agree 100%. Annoying how many times I've said "whoa - looks like traffic is stopping up ahead", only to glance at the Waze screen and see that it had rerouted telling me to take the exit that I just passed...

On frequently driven routes have #quietmode where Waze alerts only for warnings or if Waze suggests a change to the route to avoid delays.

Oh hell yes.
... and it would also be bloody great if the mute function could have it's own persistent onscreen button (like the Menu and Report buttons) rather than having to access it through the Menu display.
