Voice command reports
Sending reports using short voice commands. For example: "waze danger car side of the road"
Great news! Reporting a vehicle on the side of the road using voice is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

People are helpful putting heavy traffic notices, but there isn't a way to cancel the symbol when heavy traffic is no longer a problem. When we come up to a hazard, if the hazard isn't there we can cancel. We need the same ability when heavy traffic problems are over.

It would be amazing if there was a quick button (like reporting heavy traffic) to alert people to slippery road conditions or low visibility.

Sometimes I don't want to see the heavy traffic in the on-coming traffic. Please install a switch to turn it off. Waze knows where I am going, why show me the traffic in the other direction? Make as an option. Some people like to see it.

Good morning po. Pwede po ba kayo gumawa ng paraan para maka report kami ng accident o traffic report ng di namin hinahawakan ang cellphone namin? Bawal na po kasi hawakan ang cellphone while driving. Salamat po

Its pretty difficult and dangerous to select the thumbs up or deny option while driving. Especially if you have to confirm a police presence; now that is a bit risky! How about an option that would have Waze ask you something like "Is ..... still there?" when passing through the report and be able to answer with a simple "yes" or "no".

Allow the driver to acknowledge an alert as either being present or not
Permit the operator say"new" alert and say what kind of alert it is.
Reaching to acknowledge a alert or input an alert takes the driver's attention away from the road.

That is exactly the request I wanted to open.
More details in the audio notification would really help. Some hazards are not that serious, as you said. But some are, like a standing traffic. Once I get the general notification I check the phone, which distracts me from driving.
So even the kind and location of hazard should be mentioned. -

In the uk you now get 6 point plus a £250 for even touching my phone whilst driving. It would be better if the voice system was initiated similar to Siri e.g. "Hey waze"

We need to be able to say OK Waze report, or whatever.

My uber driver in London says less people are reporting road issues in case they get caught tapping the app and being fine. would be good to have voice command, e.g. "Hey Waze!Record road closure"

Waze needs a whole new host of voice commands, in line with the new UK law on no touching your phone whilst driving or the engine bis running. So we need all reports to be voice commands, accepting reports are there or not there as voice commands. New commands
We really need Google Now integration for calls and texts. But we need this now as we can't use Waze as well now. People are already been arrested for using phones since the law changed yesterday!

Reports are great, but while driving acknowledging or posting a new report can be really dangerous as it takes the eyes off the road and also one hand off the wheel for several seconds (especially when posting a new report and you have to select through multiple options).
I also feel that a lot of the Waze users are just simply not participating in a lot of these reports and just comfortably don't help out the community.
My suggestion would be something like this: Let's say there's a report a couple of meters in front of you. Waze then displays the option to Like or not (which it does). At this point, implement a voice control procedure, that would be triggered by the word: "WAZE" and then expect an audio command like "OK" or a "NO" for the voting system.
Even I sometimes forget to vote for a report as I am far too focused on the traffic or just cannot take the time to press the right button on my phone.
Thank you in advance!

Reporting events when driving alone is difficult and dangerous.
Why not add the ability to speak my reports, after touching the button to initiate a report?
Press Report....
Waze: What do you want to report?
Me: ...Me: Accident on left side of road
W: Thank you!Me: Police on road
W: is the Police visible?
M: yes
W: is the Police on the left or right?
M: right
W: Thank you!Me: That road was closed
W: Do you mean N Main Street?
M: no
W: Do you mean 7th Street?
M: yes
W: Why was 7th Street closed?
M: Construction
W: Thank you!Me: The traffic is at a standstill.
W: Thank you!Me: This traffic sucks. (...is terrible.)
W: is the traffic slow, moderate, or at a standstill?
M: moderate
W: Thank you! -

Provide a wireless or voice interface/ add in device? to Waze to enable reporting of hazards including police with having to manually interface with my phone, taking my eyes off the road.

Even if it were legal, it is very dangerous to report something by touching the screen. You currently cannot search an address while driving, why should adding a report be possible?

Unfortunately, I for one can not let go of the steering wheel to comment on a hazard on the road, police visible or hidden, car stopped on shoulder. if you can create a voice activated commands such as " yes police is visible" ,"yes car on shoulder", "yes there is heavy traffic" or something along those lines I would be more than happy to alert my fellow drives of such things.
Thank you for helping out the handicap people out there

Use voice to send all the reports. Use "magic" word (ex: waze) to activate feature not waving hands in front of device.
Waze report heavy traffic
Waze report vehicle stopped on road
Waze report pothole
Waze report visible police
Etc etc -

One thing that would make waze even better is hands free reporting. When I'm driving down the road I don't have time to look down at my phone and report a pot hole, traffic, or even that sneaky cop. It would help tremendously if I could click a button and speak into my phone and report a problem on the road.
