I agree, and when we manually refresh for alternative route options, which invariably have become better than the original one, the new way these other options are displayed is not user friendly at all.
With the previous format, were all the alternative routes were in list form, it was much easier to decide which one to pick based on route details that we could se in one glance.

On my last journey I just hit a road closure that happened minutes before my arrival. The traffic was diverted to a B road however waze would keep suggesting to take me back to closed motorway. It would be a good idea to have instant alternative option that can keep us going. Due to massive traffic I didnt want to pull over and re plan the route and had to involve a massive guess work. Bear in my it only happened that moment so there was no report or any diversion that would help, just a massive caotoc motorway traffic in front and behind me.

Yes! Virtually every other navigation app I used was showing me alternative routes live on the map and I could make a choice to go with another route based on the indicated ETA and length. Some navs, like Google Maps, allow to simply click on the alternative route on the map to select it as the current main route.

I really miss this on Waze. I love riding with Waze but for these suggestions I'm considering going back to Google Maps or a local paid map I used for the last 10 years.

I find when I’m driving, I very often search my route for an updated routing check, particularly just prior to major intersections or offramps on the highway..... and very often I find that Waze gives me options to save a lot of time with this action. However, if I don’t do this manually Waze will just keep me on the original route without checking Anything for the entire trip!!
I think it would be FANTASTIC if Waze would do this AUTOMATICALLY

Many people are using Waze and sometimes new routes suggested by Waze have more traffic. I refreshed Waze manually as many as I could to get most updated information. It would be good to have Waze be refreshed automatically before every turn it makes.

I'm having to manually choose a faster route when it becomes available. I'm not sure if it's just a problem I'm facing but it's distracting and annoying to have to check for faster routes because a lot of the time I do find faster routes through checking manually.

Once you choose a route, it sticks with that route unless there is a major issue. Often time you have to refresh and it tells you a better way to go. Why can't Waze refresh the routes automatically.

In general, the idea is about giving different alternative for different kind of drivers
