Add a full French (Canada) TTS voice with street name announcements
Hello Waze Team,
I would like to formally request the addition of a full Text-To-Speech (TTS) voice profile in French (Canada), including street name announcements.
Currently, only French (France) full TTS voices are available. While they function correctly, pronunciation differences are noticeable for Québec and Canadian place names. This affects clarity and user experience for French-Canadian drivers.
Given that:
- Québec represents a large and active Waze user base,
- Canadian French pronunciation differs significantly from European French,
- Other navigation platforms already support localized French-Canadian TTS,
Adding a French (Canada) TTS profile would significantly improve usability and accessibility for drivers in Québec…

Un mode signal sonore nous invitant à regarder l'écran lors des changements de direction et des alertes plutôt qu'une voix trop bavarde !
Beaucoup de mes connaissances, moi même et mes collègues qui faisons beaucoup de route sommes très dérangé par le guidage sonore beaucoup trop bavard qui interrompt sans cesse la musique ou la radio au point d'en gâcher l'écoute alors que ce sont les choses qui nous font supporter et même parfois apprécier les longues heures de route... J'ai testé le réglage son "moins bavard" mais je n'ai pas vu la différence avec le guidage vocal classique.
Résultat : quasiment tout le monde coupe le guidage sonore, mais nous nous retrouvons alors à devoir regarder l'écran quasiment tout le temps pour…

Five Nights At Freddy's 2 Movie Collaboration
To capitalize on the new five nights at Freddy's 2 movie, add a FazTalker Sidekick that gives you directions just like the other sidekicks.
If the FazTalker doesn't work out you can have Kellen Golf, the voice actor for Toy Freddy and other animatronics in the franchise I give you directions to your location while doing the voice of Toy Freddy. And when you arrive to your destination it'll play at the 6:00 a.m. theme for whenever you complete a night at Freddy's, but instead of completing your night you just completed your drive!

A Harry Dresden voice pack
I'm a big fan of the Dresden Files books, by Jim Butcher. I have recently been enjoying the audio book versions. Most of the 17 books are available read by James Marsters.
I would really enjoy a Waze app voice pack, based on James Marsters portrayal of the Harry Dresden character. (Maybe Jim Butcher himself would be willing participate)
I'm sure other Dresden Files fans would also.
Other characters from the Dresden Files, such as Molly Carpenter and Demonreach. Would be a bonus.

Personalized voice sidekick with street names
You could make personalized voice options for sidekicks with a second drop down box below for street name pronunciation using a already established voice option for the street names. For instance I could use the Now You See Me voice option for a sidekick with a British street name English option.

Set the audio in advance
There is a risk every time you open the app and set a destination: the app could disturb you with its voice without you being able to predict it in advance. It would be enough to place the voice control on the home screen, then before setting the destination.(Of course, it's always possible to go into the settings beforehand, but it's a bit of a complex procedure and is therefore almost never done.)

Pause Other Audio, not lower volume
I've seen claims there's a feature to pause spoken audio or other things when alerts come through - but I do not see that feature in settings. While the lowered volume when alerts come in isn't a problem for music, it is not ideal for listening to podcasts or long form video/audio essays, which is often what I am playing.
It lowers the volume of what is playing and then speaks over it, making it difficult for me to make out the alert it is giving anyway. I just started using this app in the past few days but this…

option for PERMANENT acoustic warning when speeding
Please implement the option of permanently giving the acoustic warning AS LONG as i am speeding not just once. This would basically almost force you to slow down because if you get the acoustic warning only once its easy to forget after a few minutes and then you get a speeding ticket
