Audible warning for speed cameras even if you're under the speed limit
If you're going under the speed limit you don't get an audible warning for a speed camera. If the camera is after a limit change you may be under the limit when approaching but you can then accelerate above the limit and have no warning.

Speed trap
Speed trap notification should ALWAYS sound. If you are not over the speed limit, you risk accelerating before the trap and getting a fine.
Other alerts sound at any circumstance. At least, give the option to activate always on notificatios for speed traps.16 votes -

Police Otherside has been eliminated?! Not showing on roads previously used. Police other side is gone from choices. Why? Many municipalities are about revenue and not safety. Artificially low speed limits are cash cows.

Configurações alerta sonoro para radares independente da velocidade
Disponibilizar aos usuários a configuração para que o WAZE emita alerta sonoro para todos os radares de velocidade independente da velocidade do veículo. Atualmente, o alerta sonoro só é disparado se o veículo estiver acima da velocidade. Existe a chance de distração quando estivermos dirigindo bem na hora do radar e acabar acelerando o carro sem percebê-lo.

Add Shortcut to "Vehicle Stopped On Side of Road"
I found a post from 2016 asking for this and it still hasn't been implemented!
There should be a shortcut on the navigation screen to send a "Vehicle Stopped on Shoulder" report with a single click.
This is, by far, the most common type of report and it currently requires FIVE button presses - all of them while looking down at the screen. A user-configurable single-click report button would be even better, but a "Vehicle Stopped On Shoulder" button would be a massive improvement to the current 5-clicks.

Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app
Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. Bring back Deer sightings on or near road. Simply , road hazard is insufficient to warn drivers.
Being back deer on side of road or in road is much better than just saying road hazard . A simply road hazard does NOT give drivers proper heads up to avoid killing the animals and possibly themselves

Customized alert distances
Since the recent release of changing the alert to 0.2 miles, makes police alerts a worthless feature because at highway speeds, at that distance, it's already too late. In fact, anything over 25mph would be too late at that point. How about a setting that allows the user to set that distance in the range 0.2 to 1 mile to make it more practical or just revert to the 0.5-mile default that was present before the latest release!

Warning of approaching speed limit sign
We need to have a warning about approaching a speed limit change sign 550m ahead. Like the traffic camera warning ahead. This is very necessary so that drivers can proactively reduce speed from a distance. And the speed limit symbol can be optionally larger in size.

Extreme Temperature Crisis Response
Waze should add Extreme Temperature events to the Crisis Response process. As extreme heat events and extreme cold events become more and more frequent, citizens are going to increasingly need to find and navigate to Cooling Centers and Warming Centers that local governments and emergency planners open when the weather gets too hot or too cold. These types of extreme temperature events often put a big strain on power grids, and when temperatures reach dangerous levels, they need to quickly find shelter from the extreme temperatures. Alert police on both sides of the road
Currently, waze only provides an alert when approaching police on the same side of the road. In Australia, police will check vehicle speed in both directions. Waze should have the option to provide alerts when approaching police on the opposite side of the road.

I was travelling by road in Oman and noticed many of the Speed Bumps & Speed Camera locations are not correct.

Police Alerts
A police report should notify drivers when driving within a certain radius of the report and not just for drivers that are traveling in the direction of the report. This would be very beneficial on highways and eliminate the need to report police twice for both sides.
To make this make sense, if you’re traveling southbound on a two-lane road and you make a police report, it will only alert the southbound traffic, not the northbound.

Suppress lane guidance announcement when turning lane is a single lane
Currently, on intersections with Lane Guidance mapped, for TTS voices, Waze announces the number of lanes that turn. For example, "Use the right 2 lanes to turn right".
My suggestion is that if there is only a single lane in the rightmost or leftmost position to perform the turn maneuver (whether it's a Keep, Exit, Turn, or U-Turn), Waze do not announce the "Use the right lane to turn right", or the "Use the left lane to turn left". If there are more lanes or more complex maneuvers, Waze keeps the lane announcments.

Speedometer speeding threshold alert below speed limit
I currently have a blackbox installed in my car for insurance purposes. I would like to be able to set my speedometer alert BELOW the speed limit so I know I am approaching it and DONT GO OVER the limit. The options now are all ABOVE the limit.
