map darkmode
since the last update the colors in the map darkmode are not good solved. its too dark and blue theres no contrast at all. please change it back. thanks.

City name under street name
Display the name of the city below that of the street you are on. (To avoid having to zoom out the map while driving)

Dark mode - not blue mode
Your last update resulted in a barely usable dark mode, with a strong blue tint, instead of the previous familiar dark grey. I drive for a living and I have to say that the colour is simply unhealthy for the eyes of someone driving 8h/day. Please bring back the previous dark mode.

North = up, but not while driving❗
I'm happy to see that an option to fix North to the up has finally been added (how many years?), thanks to SyberKnight here
💥BUT💥, as it's really great to browse the map (in 2D mode) with fixed North, like a real map, I really don't see the point of fixing the North up while driving. It causes tons of situations where the guidance is unusable (typically when using the phone in portrait and driving to the west, road to come becomes invisible).
So I suggest to add another sub-option: "Follow road direction when driving". If…

New Navigation Vehicles
I'm not experiencing any problems. Waze is great... Better than Google Maps... Only thing I WOULD like to see is the satellite view on Waze, but that's minor...
I would simply like to suggest a new vehicle. May I suggest the 1. V-Series Cadillac Escalade & Escalade ESV, 2. Chevy Tahoe & Suburban High County and 3. GMC Yukon Denali & Yukon Denali XL?
I think these additional options will be very cool. Please also remember to add the panoramic mooroof...

Updates to UI/Map display
I do a lot of free driving, since I swapped from my now dead GPS to Waze. The biggest thing I miss from my GPS is that it showed street names, exits and mile markers without me needing to be in navigation mode. I know where I'm driving, but the street and exit names keep me grounded and not missing my exits/streets since I primarily drive when the sun is not up.

Hide search bar
I keep seeing this response to multiple users about the search bar that does not go away: “ Thanks for the suggestion. Search bar automatically hides after around 30 seconds driving without navigation”. The bar does NOT go away after 30 seconds. It takes me 20 minutes to drive to work, and it will not go away. Setting for driver seat location and map display / layout
In Navigation mode, depending on which side (Left/Right) the driver seat location is, display the driving Directions on the corresponding side of the screen.
Note: also, using Android Auto Right seat location setting has no effect on Waze's display, the navi turn information
card remaining on the left side.

Map 2D/3D/Auto tap to cycle
Modified functionality of the map icon. Would be great if one touch of the map icon cycles it between 2d 3d and auto.
Press and hold to pop up the detailed settings for maps.

Better icons
I would like better icons. When working on the WME map (as an editor), I just find the icons terribly bland. When looking at the Live Map for example, all shops look like red squares.
Perhaps some scissors for personal care? An envelope for post offices. I just find for an app that has a multitude of custom little faces that you can be whilst driving, a little more focus on the Place Icons would definitely go a long way especially when a Funeral Home and the Post Office have the exact same symbol.
