Needing multiple people to remove a posted notifier (traffic, police, etc)
The fact that a single person can remove a notifier by saying “it’s no longer there” is a little broken I think the app should need a minimum of 3 users saying the (traffic, debris, accident, police, etc) are no longer there. -ps got a **** ton of ideas first ones free next 50 need a job opportunity

When Searching for "FUEL", add [Nearest] or [Along Route] selector/modifier.
Not only is this needed, but it also needs good UX to make what's happening clear.
In the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of situations, I want the CLOSEST gas station AHEAD (or on my current) route. It could be something as easy as a modal popup that says [BUTTON] in brackets:
[Shortest Distance] or [Nearest Ahead]
Where [Shortest] = "oh my .... I'm on fumes and need fuel NOW"
And
[Nearest Ahead] just does a quick check of your current route, a little balancing to find the shortest route with a 10-minute "lookahead" and presents the user with a list that INCLUDES:[Along Route]
"Time (DIST) to (GAS STATION) adds (X DIST)"
Being able to SORT by the (X DIST), which would be the "miles added by deviation" then allows me to see the shortest add miles and how long".When I'm on local roads, it doesn't matter as much. But, when I'm on a trip in unfamiliar areas, I usually want an upcoming fuel location that adds the least "exit .... back on" time or distance. I'm fine with driving 20 minutes if it's an addition of 2 miles, but want to avoid closer options that add 5 miles as long as it's not dire.

Hazard reporting wrong way driver, amber alert popup
Send an alert to people in the area of a wrong way driver. Similar to Amber alerts. Notification system for amber alert would reach more people in an area. Suggestion to pull over would reduce the number of accidents

Or maybe with vehícles near where we are.
I’m not going to read the others posts , sorry If someone post it before.3 votes -

Ability to add obstructions offline
Wish there was a way to add (eg, road closures) offline - currently it seems the only way to do it is to actually drive there until the triangle button appears on the screen. Trying to warn everyone as a closed road is currently showing as roadworks/closed lane.

Leave the overview map on the screen until I change it.
In Google Maps, when I get to the Overview Screen, it stays on the screen and slowly zooms in until I get to my destination. In Waze, the Overview Screen only stays for a few seconds, then reverts to the basic navigation screen. Please make Waze more like Maps and let me keep the Overview Screen on the display until I change it!

North up changes desperately needed
I am trying to use Waze with the map displayed in the direction I’m actually going, North Up, Because with the map always moving what is actually North to just keep my direction always going towards the top of the screen one loses all perspective on where things are. When one would read a paper map one would always keep the map north up, that way you could always learn your relative position to other places. The problem comes in, when the map is set to north up the position is always in the dead middle of the screen rather than to the left right top or bottom depending on which direction one is traveling. That means you can’t glance and see potential issues ahead of you because you have cut off at least 80 or 90% of the screen. The vehicle should be to the far edge of the screen regardless of which direction one is traveling. Yes, I get it, that means you’re gonna have to move the car, but right now having the car always traveling up the screen destroys all sense of relative location. Please find a way to fix this.

Stop reversing coordinates formats in Waze Live Map
When you paste coordinates from Google Maps to Waze Live Map, what's long on Google Maps becomes Lat and vice versa. This is not the case for WME or Waze app. Can it be the same to facilitate search?

Lane display in AA/CarPlay
Hello,
I suggest changing the lane display on Waze in CarPlay/Android Auto. The display is too small although there is the possibility of having a larger display without losing the basic instructions.
Here is an example --> https://photos.app.goo.gl/yDCGB9X6EhJyWogAA

Edit Pothole Location If Passed
sometimes it takes time to click report and select the option of a pothole. But by this time, you have either passed it or are unable to use your phone for Whatever reason such as inability to touch phone screen etc. So having the ability to show on the map where the pothole was would help users of the app avoid the pothole before getting to it as my experiences that I hit the pothole before I’m warned about it. Sorry for example, just like when you order an Uber taxi, you are able to drop a pin showing your location.
Just like on this app, where you can show a road closure by selecting the correct arrow, this would be perfect for showing where the pothole was on the road. This would avoid users hitting the pothole as we are usually warned about it after hitting it.

Trains blocking roads
I think it would be great if there could be a feature added for trains! We have trains in this area that will stop on the tracks for hours, and they end up blocking over 20 different roads and you end up having to drive about 15 roads down until you find an opening where the train ends. Currently there's no way to indicate a stopped train. I've tried using the blocked road feature but it doesn't work for this.

Identify Tope’s / speedbumps in Mexico
Just like potholes might be a good idea- in Mexico there are 1000’s of speedbumps that in Spanish are called Topes. It would be a great value add to add an alert for upcoming speed bumps as non-local drivers are at risk of hitting speed bumps at full road speed which is dangerous for the driver and vehicle. This feature would be greatly valued for drivers in any country that uses speed bumps to control vehicle velocity

Ability to name drive plan
The ability to plan the drive and get the notification to leave on time is super helpful but I wish I could name them without plan it in the calendar event to have it named.

Fastest route regardless of toll fees
Currently Fastest Route takes toll amount and distance into consideration. Many times, better routes with much higher tolls + a longer highway detour is in fact faster.
While there is an option to opt out of tolls, there is no way to have the "Fastest" route regardless.
Fastest should mean really the fastest and not "according to what Waze thinks people might want".
