Report Extended Events
There are construction areas (for example) which stretch some length (a mile or more). It would be great to report these as an extended region, not a single point, since they're usually accompanied by a lower speed limit. They might be activated by an upward gesture of the report button (as opposed to the sideways gesture that the iPhone currently supports for traffic reporting).

Improvement needed
I was checking out waze and I was really impressed... I felt like the waze experience was incomplete without a proper feedback. Hence I decided to give you guys a few suggestions on it: 1) Pls include downloading of maps of a certain area or preferably offline caching of Entire maps. 2) I noticed that initially the direction of the heading was wrong 4 out of 5 times, thus why not included an optional magnetic correction as it will definitely remove this error.

fade out old road traffic instead of not showing at all
at the moment I can only see recent traffic reports, but not those that were reported for example 20minutes ago.
It would be much more helpful if the client would always show the latest reported road traffic status.
the color could be faded out over time to indicate how old a report is.
the client should offer an option of the maximum age of reports that should be displayed and if a wazer reports that the road is free again, then the old report needs to be removed.4 votes -
Add a 1 mile event radius
In large cities 5 mile radius events take too long to cycle back to the close events. And 5 miles extremely far away from your driving route.

report route change due to traffic
It happens a lot that the route is taking me to a heavy traffic road. I turn to avoid it, but can't report it. It would be great to have a pop-up when avoiding the suggested route to ask if it's due to traffic

Are you in traffic?
When the system asks if you are in traffic?? you can answer yes or no. For the amount of times that you have stopped for a coffee or gas and there is no traffic...instead of the system assuming you are and then saying that "First street" is at a standstill...make the automatic answer no, then if we are we can answer yes. I think this will reduce the fake high traffic areas people complain about

Add a grid on the background instead of the uniform grey colour.
This would increase the "sensation" of perspective and, if the grid is at fixed size (example 100x100 meters) would also help in understanding how much space there's before next turn/crossroad/stop....

Remember Events filter
I would like the client to remember the setting I select for filtering Events. "Around Me", "On Route" and "My Groups" are great filters, but when I return to the map/driving view, I want my Events count at the top to be filtered and when I tap on it/select it, I want my Events report list to still be filtered by the same criteria.

Road trip mode: track progress since activation, share milestones
For longer, multi-stage trips, a more robust kind of logging might be useful. This "road trip" mode would keep track of the distance traveled since activation, and post a message on Twitter, Facebook, etc. when a milestone has been passed (e.g., passing a predetermined amount of miles or crossing a state/provincial/national boundary).

Would like app UI compatibility that takes advantage of iPhone Duo aspect ratio and screen size.

Title: Add a One-Tap “Save Current Location” Button
Suggestion:
Please add a simple “Save Current Location” button directly to the main map screen.
Currently, saving a location requires several steps: tapping the three-dot menu, selecting “Explore this place,” choosing “Save,” and entering a name.
This is unnecessarily complicated, especially for drivers who need to save a location quickly while navigating. It also creates a safety concern because drivers may need to spend too much time looking at their phone and navigating multiple menus.
Please add a one-tap option to save the current GPS location automatically, using the date and time as the default name, with the option to rename it later.
Waze is a useful navigation app, but this simple improvement would make it much more convenient and safer to use.
Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Remove split screen when tapping report button
On Android Auto Projected it's currently required to manually tap the Waze screen on a split screen after tapping the report button to move back to full screen and start reporting. This requires an additional tap by the user and should be avoided by automatically moving to full screen when tapping the report button.

PUR (Pending Update Request) for L6-Locked POI Modifications by L6 Editors
Bonjour,
Currently, a Level 6 (L6) editor can directly modify or delete a POI locked at the same level (L6) without intermediate validation.
However, L6 editors remain human and can make mistakes due to oversight or accidental edits. A recent concrete case demonstrated this: a critical POI locked at L6, essential for the Tour de France, was deleted by another L6 editor. This caused a critical operational outage on the ground, which is especially harmful since the associated QR code cannot be regenerated.
To secure map integrity on high-lock elements, we request the implementation of a suggestion system (PUR - Pending Update Request) for any modification or deletion of a POI locked at L6, even when the action is initiated by another Level 6 editor.
Benefits:
Prevent unintentional destructive modifications or deletions on strategic or event-driven points.
Ensure peer review (mandatory validation by another L6 editor or the lock creator) before final application.
Secure high-stakes operational data (partnerships, major events, critical infrastructure).

Adding a stop
When adding a stop, it would be ideal that it searches for options that are along your current route rather than any place. I often choose the closest in distance but then realize it’s got me going in the opposite direction of where I was originally going. Great app though. Definitely my navigation app of choice.

Add 3D Buildings / Landmarks for Enhanced Visual Orientation
I would like to suggest adding 3D buildings on the map
Rationale & Benefits:
Better Visual Orientation: When driving in unfamiliar urban areas, drivers naturally rely on prominent physical landmarks. Rendering major buildings in 3D establishes a clear connection between what drivers see on their screen and their actual surroundings.
Safer & Faster Decision-Making: At complex intersections or in dense city centers, recognizable 3D landmarks allow drivers to instantly confirm their route at a glance, minimizing distraction and keeping their focus on the road.
Enhanced Map Quality: Including iconic structures elevates the overall navigation experience, making the map more intuitive, functional, and visually engaging for both local and visiting drivers.

Speed Limit Icon Size - Bigger
Good day, please can you look into making the displayed speed limit icon bigger, it would be of great help to far sighted people from having to wear glasses whilst driving. Thank you

Proactive Alert for Upcoming Passing Lanes / Climbing Lanes (3rd Lane)
PROPOSAL: Add a proactive voice and visual alert for upcoming passing lanes or climbing lanes (3rd lane) at 1km and 500m (e.g., "Passing lane in 500 meters").
PROBLEM: On single-lane highways, poor road signage combined with driver impatience behind slow vehicles leads to high-risk overtaking. Drivers often execute dangerous passes just meters before a dedicated 3rd lane they didn't know was ahead.
SAFETY IMPACT: Early notification shapes driver behavior. Knowing a safe overtaking opportunity is nearby reduces impatience and prevents severe head-on collisions.

ALSO ADD: Early voice alerts for sharp and dangerous curves ahead, especially on single-lane roads with low visibility.
TAMBÉM ADICIONAR: Avisos sonoros antecipados para curvas acentuadas e perigosas, especialmente em pistas simples com baixa visibilidade.PROPOSAL: Add a proactive voice and visual alert for upcoming passing lanes or climbing lanes (3rd lane) at 1km and 500m (e.g., "Passing lane in 500 meters").
