Bike path crossing alerts
In bicycle-centric cities like Madison, WI, the roadways are full of bike path crossings. Some have flashing yellow lights, while others are simply painted green. Alerting drivers of bike path crossings would make cities like Madison much safer.
For reference, I was rear-ended at one with full flashing lights last year. It could have been fatal had the cyclist not been crossing the other side of the boulevard at the moment of impact.
Please consider giving Waze users the option to be alerted at bike path crossings!

Adjust routes
Hi Waze team,
I’m a long-time Wazer (5+ years), and I truly appreciate the app. However, I’d like to share some frustrating limitations:
- Add the ability to manually edit a route with multiple intermediate stops
Waze usually finds good routes, but sometimes I want to manually adjust it — set 2–3 waypoints, fix the path myself, and avoid places I don’t want to pass. Right now, it’s not possible to fully customize a route this way.
- Allow starting a route from a different location (not current GPS location)
In Ukraine, GPS can be unreliable or blocked in certain areas. Sometimes I just want to plan a route starting from another location (for a friend, or for later travel). Currently, this isn’t possible in Waze, unless GPS is active and working.
Please consider adding these features — they would make Waze much more flexible and powerful, especially for experienced users.
Thanks for all the great work you do!
Best regards, Dmytro.

Speed Limit indicators on map
It would add to safer driving to have speed limit changes show up as standard indicators on the map while driving, meaning seeing them approach just like any other indicator on the map.
Current issues/reasons:
1. In South Africa we have many areas where the speed limit road signs are missing. I count four that are missing on my daily route alone, and this is extremely dangerous with frequent sudden braking necessary immediately after realizing the speed limit has changed without prior notice.
2. There are often speed cameras directly after a speed limit change, which is a nice little dirty trick used by our often-corrupt traffic department officers, with lots of easy to find dashcam footage online to attest to just this one issue.
3. Better preparation for speed transitions - Advanced warning allows drivers to gradually adjust speed rather than making abrupt changes, which reduces the risk of rear-end collisions from following vehicles.
4. Unfamiliar route safety - When driving in new areas, drivers may not know local speed limit patterns and could easily miss changes, especially when traffic signs are missing. This is especially important for tourists or business travelers.
5. Night driving visibility - Speed limit signs can be harder to spot in low-light conditions, while the navigation display remains clearly visible.
6. Weather-related visibility - During rain, fog, or other weather conditions that reduce visibility, physical signs may be obscured while the digital display remains clear.
7. Standardized information - Eliminates confusion from damaged, faded, or vandalized speed limit signs that may be difficult to read accurately. Additionally, it is much easier to follow the navigation map when speed limit information is displayed in the familiar indicator format that drivers are already accustomed to using. This has previously been suggested very long ago (https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box/suggestions/10519629-speed-limit-indication-on-map), but without much motivation given. The response of the Waze Team was not helpful, as the issues were not addressed. Since this is a safety issue more than a nice-to-have feature (at least in my country), I believe it requires more attention from the developers.

map zooms out and centers wrongly when driving along minor roads
lately the map zooms out and the arrow indicating my car "centers" itself upwards on the screen when driving along small roads, making it very hard to determine the proximity and distance of the next turn. it's only been for the past week and still having this issue. I did not change any of my settings it just randomly happened starting last week onwards. the same issue happens even on my different phone with a different Waze account. when driving, the arrow that represents your car should be near the bottom edge of the map, not somewhere center or high-center of the map. this only happens when driving along smaller roads. please fix this.

Draw your own way
I want to be able to draw the exact route I want with my finger — just like on a paper map.
Currently, Waze overrides my preferences by rerouting me through inner-city traffic, risking ZTL fines and unnecessary stress.
Please allow users to freely draw a route and let Waze support us within that path, not override it.
Sometimes the smartest tool is the one that listens — not the one that insists.

Subscription for more content
Here is my idea and I would hope if this ever got approved I would be included in the profits anyways
Have a subscription based add on that has special features for car enthusiasts for £1.99 a month
1. Add friends and be able to see them on your map if they are near by
2. Friend can create groups for road trips and meets so that you can see set destinations together aswell as set group pins as a destination if they have found somewhere cool to go
3. Have a road tracker bit like a video game where you unlock streets as you drive over them with a leaderboard for friends to see who has driving on the most ( creates more data for you)
4. Work with car company’s to allow actually vehicle images as your Waze picture then allows the car company’s to buy back the data on what cars people haveWith nearly 140 million users if only 1% bought into this that’s 2.5 million a month plus the extra revenue from data collection if you want more information don’t hesitate to email me

To avoid road construction
You should add so that you can do the same to avoid road construction as with avoiding toll roads! That is, choose another alternative route if road construction is on the proposed route. A completely different thing is that you should add a warning for all "fixed" road bumps so you don't get hit by a car!

Sugiro, portanto:
- Exibir distâncias com uma casa decimal (ex: “48,6 km”);
- Permitir visualizar distâncias em metros, pelo menos em trajetos curtos ou aproximações.
Acredito que estas melhorias trariam mais precisão e clareza para todos os utilizadores.
Obrigado pela atenção e pelo trabalho incrível que fazem!

New look
Waze was great in overall but recent "refresh" made it undrivable. Car icon is covered with streets names, then when you get to complicated junctions, street names cover the actual streets and you're left guessing, which might be pretty dangerous with traffic around you. When you get any notification (radar, police, obstruction etc) the box with the name of the street you're on goes up and, yes, you don't see your car icon. If you're on the street with long name, you won't see car icon or actual streets around cause blue box with the name blocks the view. I don't need a street name I'm supposed to turn into on the actual map since it's already on the top of the screen. It's simply unnecessary bloating of the screen. If the name of the street I'm on needs to be under the car icon it should stay under. You need to move the car icon up together with the street name so I can easily see the junction I'm entering. Recent rearrangement of the view the route/show possible routes didn't make me happy either, preferred the old system since I only had to do one click to see current route, and then one click to go back to map if I was happy with the situation. Now I have to click show possible routes, and if I'm happy click to go back to the route, then map reactivates (god knows what for since it takes extra while), then click again to get to the actual map. But this, at least, is not making me look at the screen while entering full blown traffic junction to figure out (and try to guess actually) which turn I'm taking.

Closure sign colouring.
Could you possibly change the background of the "closure" sign? Its currently red on red which makes it a little difficult to see (even more so if you are colourblind).

Waze needs to add a feature to read warnings every time there is a change in speed limit on the route.
Suggest Waze needs to add a feature to read warnings every time there is a change in speed limit on the route. (currently: waze does not read or very rarely reads warnings when there is a change in speed limit)

Suggestion for the Waze Suggestion Box. Please add a spam Button. When more than 3 spam votes on it and no comments delete/disable/hide. I would like to set up a rss feed on my pc. With no spam filtering it would be unusable. It will probably improve the interaction with the suggestion box . Greetings

GPX Tracking option
Dear,
I would like to see a possibility to track an unplanned, random route that I drive live so that it can be loaded into Waze and navigated afterwards by myself or someone else, with whom I can then share the route.
Thanks in advance,
