Fix the bug where you can't change mood and still appear as newbie despite driving hundreds of miles
I'm unable to change mood despite travelling hundreds of miles. Still displaying as 'newbie'. This is a long standing issue - I've seen it in forums over 5 years old.

Make distances to turns more prceise
Lately, when I use Waze for navigation, it miscalculates the distance remaining to turns. It will tell me I have 25 feet to go when I am already at the corner, or 150 feet when I'm a few feet from it. I did not used to have this problem.

Preferred Roads
Preferred Roads would allow a user to specify a list of roads they are more familiar with and prefer to take where possible, whether manually, or automatically through repetitive driving habits.
If a new route might save me 2 mins I don't care. I would still prefer to use my most familiar roads. If there is an accident and I should avoid to save 10 mins, then it could utilize less familiar roads.
Along the same lines, another collection of roads could be considered roads to avoid. This is different to avoiding Toll roads, as some toll roads are preferable over others. This can allow Waze to quickly prioritise familiar roads and avoid roads they know cause issues other than heavy traffic or long delays.
The threshold of choosing a non-preferred road could be a percentage of the calculated journey times. If it will save me 5 mins and I'll be driving for an hour, big deal. If it'll save me 5 mins and I'll be driving for 10 mins, that becomes more worth while, and the non-preferred roads may then be taken.
Using an algorithm here means we can escape having a warning every time, but showing an icon to allow us to decide before our drive would still be valuable.

Information bubbles are too big
Hi, thanks for mantain Waze. Information bubbles seems to be too big and invasive for the size of the map and screen. My suggestion is to reduce and resume the info in the bubbles. Waze on Android Auto, standard size screen, Hyundai ioniq 2020.

Could you please improve the feature to report police. I'd like to suggest, that you can track the police location afterwards, since it's forbidden in most countries to be on your mobile device. It would also be very helpful if you could remove/delete the police report that you have uploaded, since I tried to report the police location, but I quickly realised that you can only report the police location when you are at the exact loaction.

Get rid of new hamburger menu icon, put functionality back into search screen
New hamburger menu icon doesn't need to be there. Takes up too much space for rarely used functionality. Put settings and stuff back into the search screen. The idea to move that into a totally new icon was bad.
Want to add something useful to the map?
Add a "favorites" icon where when it opens we can have one-tap reporting for report features I use the most- cops, roadkill, traffic - instead of digging around in the reporting screen.
Also, should be able to EXIT waze by swiping from the right edge a couple times.

Implementation:
When users search for a specific place, such as McDonald's, provide a toggle button or icon labeled "View on Map" alongside the existing list view.
Upon selecting the "View on Map" option, the app transitions to a map view, centered on the user's current location, with pins or markers representing the nearby McDonald's locations.
Each marker should display essential information such as the name of the location, distance from the user's current location, and street name (if available) when tapped.
Users can interact with the map to zoom in/out, pan, and explore the different locations at their convenience.
Tapping on a specific marker should provide additional details about the location and options for navigation or contacting the place directly.
By introducing this feature, users can easily visualize and compare nearby places on the map, empowering them to make more informed decisions based on their preferences, the proximity to specific streets, and their overall familiarity with the area.Overview:

Be able to drop a pin to report later
Be able to drop a pin and report when not driving.
Say which lane to take on freeways with multi-lane exits.
Make “closures” actually work. I am in SF and it never lets me mark where I am that is closed, also for multi lane streets, like Juniperra Serra, the option to choose a lane is needed.

Arrêter de signaler les véhicules arrêtés sur les airs de repos ou les trotoirs !
Le soir c'est non stop ces signalements inutiles de chauffeurs prenant leur pause sur une air de repos, une voiture garrée sur le bas coté devant sa maison etc. Et on n'y fais plus attention au bout d'une vingtaine de signalelents bidons !
Et du coup, j'ai failli écraser un type changeant sa roue après un virage !
Il avait peut être aussi été signalé mais au bout d'une vingtaine de signalement inutiles c'est passé inaperçu.3 votes -
Railroad Crossing Detours
The map should at LEAST show whether the road passes under the train or not. If Waze has a problem navigating around the tracks, “Wazers” can look at the map. This will allow us to figure out a detour for ourselves.

Move where alerts appear in Apple CarPlay
When an alert pops up in CarPlay, all other indicators on the screen disappear aside from the physical map. The alert should be able to pop up without removing the next navigational instruction and the eta box.
