Police report aprox 15km in advance
I suggest reporting to the police about 15 km in advance because they hide the radar several km behind and Waze notifies you in fewer km being too late. Announcing about 15 km in advance helps you be more cautious until you reach the police crew

Animals
I just passed about 15 deer grazing right next to the road on a stretch of highway where deer are commonly hit and the speed limit is 75. It would be great to warn other drivers. I suggest an animals category under hazards.

Waze share the drive with a friend.
Share a drives destination with a friend or friend group, where everyone could see others in their navigation map.
And other friends could ether suggest or set a new destination to everyone. This could be acomplished by setting a user level within the group.
Also would be cool to have option to make these groups multiple and enable or disable them.1 vote -
Deixem crianças baixarem o waze!!!
Gostei bastante do waze, mas não posso baixar. Ai você me pergunta porque e eu te respondo: porque tenho o app do family link. Queria usar o Waze para ajudar meus pais quando eles estão dirigindo, mas não posso. Por favor waze, vi outros comentários dizendo para liberar o waze para crianças, então não é só eu que gostei do app.

Join a drive
you should have an option to join a friends drive (like on Spotify how you join someone’s jam), so when you’re picking up a friend or when you have a passenger they can join your drive and add a stop without you having to pull over to use your phone

Accelerometer data can reveal as yet unreported hazards
The DriveScore app uses phone accelerometer data to provide personal driving style feedback to the owner on harsh breaking, swerving and sharp vehicle movements. But what if many vehicles are behaving the same way at same place on the road? It could well be a strong indicator of an unreported incident and the cars behind should be warned.
If Waze could anonymously combine the same accelerometer data from multiple phones, it could be used to predict the hidden hazard. Astronomers use the same logic to identify the presence of black holes in space by observing the changes in acceleration of nearby particles, only in this case it would be looking for patterns in how multiple cars are behaving.
As an example, if every driver in lane 3 of a motorway is slowing, changing lanes then speeding up again at the same static location, there will likely be a common cause for the acceleration changes, such as a stranded vehicle, accident or other obstruction. This was the case for me at Christmas when on a tight bend connecting 2 motorways I came across at accident in lane 2 and had to swerve to avoid it, as did everyone behind me. Had the 'DriveScore event' on my journey been shared by the multiple drivers who experienced the same sudden acceleration change, it could have prevented a further pile up.
Even in good traffic, by combining the same detailed GPS and accelerometer data from multiple cars, Waze would be able to identify common patterns in speed and acceleration, such as that 80% of vehicles are changing lanes at the same a relative point along a motorway which would indicate that there is a slow moving vehicle being overtaken by all. Drivers behind could then be warned accordingly.
It must also be possible to detect from a cars speed when a driver is using cruise-control and when that speed changes or the car changes lane, it might prove useful to those behind. Even cars that have adaptive cruise-control can only react based on the speed of the
bumper ahead, with help from Waze, patterns in acceleration and deceleration could be shared from much further ahead to guide the speed of the approaching traffic. The DriveScore app uses phone accelerometer data to provide personal driving style feedback to the owner on harsh breaking, swerving and sharp vehicle movements. Running out of fluel
Hello Waze team,
As a frequent Waze user, I would like to share a recurring road-safety issue that currently has no dedicated solution in the app.
Drivers sometimes get stranded specifically due to running out of fuel. This situation can be stressful and even dangerous, especially at night or on highways. While Waze helps locate nearby gas stations, it does not help once the driver is already unable to reach one.
Since Waze already knows:
the real-time location of drivers,
which drivers are about to pass the same area,
and the location of nearby fuel stations,
it could enable a fuel-specific assistance feature.
For example:
A stranded driver could request fuel assistance through Waze. Nearby drivers who are already passing a gas station could receive an alert and choose to help.
The fuel cost — plus an optional service fee — could be paid securely inside the Waze app.
This would allow:
fair compensation for the helping driver,
a small transaction or service fee for Waze,
no exchange of personal details between users,
and a safer, faster solution for fuel-related breakdowns.
Such a feature could improve road safety, create a trusted micro-service ecosystem, RaneenHello Waze team,

Route
Hi Team,
I’d like to propose a feature suggestion that could improve safety and routing flexibility for many drivers.
Right now, if users want to include a specific street or road segment on the way to a destination, the only workaround is to add it as a stop/waypoint. This creates a “stop” that the driver must manually confirm has been reached before continuing navigation. In real driving scenarios, having to interact with the phone to confirm an intermediate stop especially on busy roads can be unsafe.
What I’m suggesting is a native “Pass Through” or “Via Street” routing option that:
Lets the user specify a street segment or point to pass through on the route
Integrates that requirement into the route calculation without turning it into a separate stop
Continues voice-guided navigation normally without requiring driver interaction to confirm intermediate target points on the wayBenefits of this feature include:
Increased safety by reducing in-app confirmation taps while driving
Greater route control for users with fixed preferences (like known scenic or safer roads)
More predictable navigation experience for routes that include desired intermediate pathsThank you for considering this suggestion. I’d be happy to provide further details or examples if needed.
Best regards,
JonnyHi Team,

ambulance alert by location
With increased distractions in traffic, whether due to high driver concentration or the use of loud music, the approach of an ambulance responding to an emergency often goes unnoticed. In light of this, it would be extremely useful if Waze offered a feature capable of alerting drivers to the passage of an ambulance on a rescue mission. The proposal consists of a visually striking, flashing, full-screen alert that would only disappear after user confirmation via a button. This alert would be triggered by the ambulance crew themselves, through a specific and differentiated login, allowing the notification to be sent to vehicles ahead, on the same road and in the same direction of travel. This functionality would significantly contribute to opening up passage in locations where there are no dedicated emergency lanes or where, due to a lack of traffic education, drivers do not react appropriately to the approach of emergency vehicles — a common reality in many countries. In addition to saving time, this measure has the direct potential to save lives.

wrong navigation for address
Wrong location on Waze
Please note that waze misdirects its users as to the following address:
Ketzot Hachoshen 22, Modiin Ilit, Israel.
Currently typing this address sends the driver to the wrong side of the street.
There is no option to add a map, so please check Google Maps and fix accordingly. Needless to say, this mistakes causes difficulties and delays, particularly for shipping services.
Thank you for taking care of this ASAP.1 vote -
Reports Ahead
The Reports Ahed list is now filled with reports of Speed Camera Ahead, making it almost impossible to see the actually important information (traffic, lane blocked, etc.). I have turned OFF ALL of the camera selections and the list is stilll filled with USELESS information.

Add a “Leaving parking spot” community report
Waze already has a strong community reporting culture for traffic, hazards and police. A similar approach could be used for parking. When a user is parked, there could be a simple optional button like “I’m leaving this spot”. After confirmation, Waze would mark that location as recently vacated and show it to nearby drivers for a short time window (e.g. 5–10 minutes) and within a limited radius. This would be a community-driven signal, not a guaranteed or legal parking spot, similar to other crowdsourced reports in Waze. The feature could be opt-in, anonymized, time-limited, and removed automatically after a few minutes to avoid outdated information.

Smarter framing
The smart auto zoom now is fine, but I can’t help but notice that other navigators also change the angle of view in order to properly show the next manoeuvre instead of just having the POV right behind the cursor. An exceptionally good example is apple maps, which is lacking in many other departments but excels extremely in this one.
