Safety kids
Hello,
I noticed that the app displays a helpful reminder during driving, such as “Don’t forget to turn on your headlights.”
I would like to suggest an additional safety feature that could save lives:
Please consider adding a reminder for drivers – if they have a baby or child in the car, not to forget to properly secure them, and at the end of the trip, after the system says “You have arrived,” to include a short message reminding the driver to check that no children are left in the vehicle. This is a simple message that could help prevent tragedies and save the lives of many children and infants.
Thank you for your attention and for the excellent service.

Letting the driver know which lane (right or left) is used to make U-turn
when need to make a U-turn, sometimes it could be on the left side of the road or even on the right.
it would be less chaotic and sudden change of lanes if the driver knows how/where the U-turn will take place, especially if there were were many lanes, then need to be prepared early to be on the U-turn lane.
it could be make the U-turn on the right lane, where there is a specific lane for U-turn.
or even it could be taking the traffic light on or below the flyover.1 vote -
zoom in and out and appearance
I want to be able to zoom in even further and have places i.e shops etc appear when looking at the map, even if I press on a random location it does not show if there is a business or something there. also when you zoom out fully you can't see names of all cities/countries or areas clearly and the map is confusing.

Hazard report on other side
There should be the ability to add hazard on the other side for when we see traffic stopped on the other side that has not been reported yet so that cars heading towards that area can be alert of that problem and have a better chance of avoiding accidents and helping fellow Waze users

Via interditada
Possibilidade de o motorista incluir um bloqueio de via! Não só alerta de trânsito! É muito vago.

Show arrows on map to indicate the road driving direction
When stuck in traffic and waze doesnt give options for alternative routes.
It would be helpful for the driver to see the further road directions for manual instant planning.1 vote -
Avoid Specific Countries When Routing
Hello Google Maps/Apple Maps/Waze Team,
I would like to propose a very important routing feature that is currently missing from all major navigation apps:
📌 Feature: Avoid Specific Countries When Routing
Users should be able to select one or more countries they do NOT want to enter during navigation.
Similar to “Avoid highways” or “Avoid tolls,” but for entire countries. Why this feature matters:
In many regions (especially the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Middle East, etc.), some users are not allowed to enter certain countries due to political restrictions, documentation issues, or border regulations.
Currently:
• Google Maps/Waze/Apple Maps will often propose routes that cross forbidden borders.
• Users have no way to block entire countries from the route.
• This creates serious problems during travel.Example:
A driver in Bosnia may not be allowed to enter Serbia or wants to completely avoid passing through it.
But the navigation app still suggests Serbia as the fastest route. The feature would allow:
• Selecting a list of “Forbidden Countries”
• Routing engine automatically avoids those territories
• Rerouting warnings when approaching restricted bordersImmediate benefits:
• More accurate and safer navigation
• Higher trust in the app
• Better usability for millions of users worldwide
• Avoiding legal issues or accidental border crossingsThis is a small feature to implement but would greatly improve safety and accessibility for users in many regions.
Thank you for considering this important addition.
Best regards,

Move the Incident Timeline to the Main Navigation Screen + Live Position Indicator
Place the full incident timeline directly on the main navigation screen and add a live vehicle marker showing the user’s exact position on the time-based route bar. This lets drivers instantly understand where they are within the timeline, what hazards are coming next, and how far they are from each report — all without leaving the main map.

Hazard/alert notification not showing in split screen.
Hi, alert widget that showed on top of the media app on split screen has been removed?
It was so useful!
Now everytime that there's an alert I have to tap on the map to make it fullscreen and then tap on the confirmation button.
I love AA in split screen and that little widget on top of media app when there is an alert on waze was useful. Now I'm forced not to confirm or do nothing so I won't be distracted because I have to tap more times, leading to less contributions.
My screen is only 7", well new cars with bigger screens and resolution can have all the information on the waze panel and still have the media app in split screen but it's not the case for smaller screens with low resolution since we can't manually change Android Auto DPI so when in split screen the navigation app gets smaller with big icons and some info is not shown in this mode.
Please make it back!
It has been like this for weeks, I thought it was something wrong with my configuration but from what I read it was deliberately removed.
In conclusion the ability to respond to hazards with 'There' or 'Not There' by clicking the buttons has now been removed.
Thank you for your time.

Voice of Amy Rose from Sonic!
I would so love to see an Amy Rose (from the Sonic series) sidekick voice. I'd also love to see an icon and a car for her. Since you've started adding Sonic content, and Amy has been picking up in popularity, I think she'd be a good pick!

Thorfin
You should make a Thorfin (from the us version of the show Ghosts) as a navigation voice. He could say things like "land ship on side of road" "turn left to get cod" " Thor say, turn right" " land ship with lights ahead"

Trip Planner
I am an avid motorcycle rider and plan rides with specific routes, going down back roads. The current software I use is Garmin's Base Camp, because it allows me to plan and save specific trips, with the utilization of waypoints. Even though Waze is a far superior navigation tool, it does not allow for such trip planning. This would be awesome if you could implement this in future upgrades.

SafeRoute – A safer pedestrian routing mode based on community input
As everyday users, we develop a deep, almost instinctive understanding of our cities. We know which streets feel safe, which corners we prefer to avoid, and which areas become uncomfortable after a certain hour. Waze already offers an excellent model of community-driven navigation by allowing users to report accidents, hazards, and police presence. Extending this collaborative approach to pedestrian mobility could significantly improve people’s sense of safety during their daily walks.
SafeRoute is a proposal for a new pedestrian option that would suggest routes which are better lit, more populated, or generally perceived as safer, while avoiding places that the community reports as isolated or problematic. In this idea, users could share their experiences by marking areas that feel unsafe (for instance dark or deserted streets, suspicious situations, or past incidents) as well as places that feel secure, such as well-lit avenues or shops that stay open late. Waze could then validate and weigh these reports just as it currently does for traffic-related information.
Based on this shared knowledge, the routing engine could offer an alternative pedestrian path that prioritizes reassurance and visibility rather than simply speed. This would give users the chance to choose not only the fastest option, but also the one that makes them feel more at ease.
I have already created a simple working prototype that demonstrates this concept. It collects basic reports, estimates a safety score for the route, and then opens the navigation directly in Waze or Google Maps. You can try it here:
https://puermarius93.github.io/saferoutes/
SafeRoute is not meant to replace existing navigation apps but to enrich them with a dimension that is rarely addressed: the emotional reality of moving through a city on foot. Many people — women, students, workers returning late — would benefit from the possibility of choosing a path that feels safer, even if it takes a few extra minutes.
I would be glad to share more details about the concept, the prototype, or how such a feature could be integrated into Waze.
Thank you for your attention and for the work you already do to improve urban mobility.

NHVR alert
The national heavy vehicle regulator (NHVR) is Australia's independent regulator for heavy vehicles (over 4.5 tonnes) and is responsible for enforcing the Heavy Vehicle National Law. In other words they are an absolute pain in the ****. NHVR can set up on weigh bridges and/or “pads” and float around rural towns pulling over anyone they please.
At the moment the only way of knowing NHVR are around or set up is through communicating with other truckies on the rd or Facebook pages.
I know there is already an alert on Waze for police but I believe having an alert separately for NHVR is essential for our heavy vehicle operators, avoiding ridiculous fines and time wasted during their travels.
I believe having this alert available on Waze, there will be a huge increase in users.

Motorcycle Apps Integration
KTM, Ducati - both are integrated with Sygic (which is terrible - but I believe is used because they offer some offline mode). It would be good if Waze could be selected as an online option with them as an alternative to Sygic.
