A average speed but not for the trip, from the moment the gps system says im entering a average speed limit motorway. (i already have an average speed for the trip on my car dash). So in order for me to know what my average speed is while driving in average speed limit way it had to start from the moment i cross the camera (GPS started and end at the exit point)

Coloured variants routes
In version 4 it was easier to understand where the three routes are on the map based on their color code in map view. Now in V5 we have to know the streets names in order to identify which route is which. They all have the same color. Please bring back the V4 color code for the three routes!

Show Suburb Name While Driving
It would be very useful if Waze could display the current suburb/locality name on the main navigation screen while driving. At the moment, suburb names only appear faintly on the map or in some voice instructions, but they are not always visible.
Having the suburb name clearly shown (for example, near the top or bottom of the screen) would help drivers quickly know which suburb they are in, especially in large cities with many small suburbs. This would improve situational awareness and make navigation more convenient.

Seamless Connectivity with Wireless Access Points
A wireless access point plays a vital role in modern networking by extending internet connectivity to multiple devices without the need for physical cables. Unlike a simple router, a wireless access point connects directly to a wired network and creates a wireless signal that laptops, smartphones, and other Wi-Fi–enabled devices can use. This makes it especially useful in offices, schools, and public spaces where consistent and widespread coverage is essential. By strategically placing a wireless access point in different areas, organizations can eliminate dead zones and ensure smooth connectivity for users moving from one location to another.
The flexibility of a wireless access point allows businesses to scale their networks as demand grows. For instance, instead of relying on a single router that may struggle to cover a large building, multiple access points can be deployed to provide stronger and more reliable connections. Many modern models also support advanced features such as dual-band or tri-band frequencies, better security protocols, and the ability to manage multiple access points through a central system.
In addition to enhancing coverage, a wireless access point improves network performance by balancing the load among devices and reducing interference. This makes them ideal for high-density environments where many people connect simultaneously. As more devices rely on Wi-Fi for work, learning, and entertainment, the role of wireless access points has become increasingly important. Whether in a small business, a university campus, or a smart home, they are the backbone of seamless wireless communication.

Do not cover the speedometer eith the popup notification
Please do not cover the speedometer with the popup notification. When a speedtrap notification pops up on the bottom of the screen it covers the speedometer and i cannot see the speedlimit sign. It is really annoying because I always check it so I do not miss any speed limit sign on the road, it would be a big help. It just happens ehen you using the phone horizontally.

Change sides for icons
I use Waze in the car and on the motorbike. As a biker I want the reporting icons on the left of the screen, as a Uk car driver, I want the reporting icons on the right. I’d like the ability to be able to swap the reporting icons from the left side to the right and vice versa. I’m using IOS 26 and would like to be able to set this for either option depending on whether I’m riding the motorbike or driving the car.
Please consider this for future updates.1 vote -
Lane Assignments / Off-ramp Turns
I love Waze…. Hands-down, best traffic app there is! But I also absolutely HATE the app at times, especially when I miss my turn. The interface at interstate intersections, on and off ramps, is subpar to say the least. This is where Waze fails miserably. Every other app there is, or pre installed vehicle navigation systems, do such a better job at breaking down lane assignments or alerting to difficult or congested intersections. Waze needs to do better! I cannot miss anymore turns at off-ramps … I will pull the rest of my hair out!

Allow users to suggest speed limit corrections
Currently, speed limits on the map can only be updated by map editors. This process is slow, especially when the main source of information, like Google Street View, is outdated. This leads to inaccurate speed limits or missing data on many road segments.
This suggestion is to add a new reporting option that allows any user to suggest a correction to the speed limit. This would not directly change the speed limit on the map, but it would create a "pending edit" for map editors to review and approve.
How it would work:
A new "Map Issue" report could be introduced, allowing users to report an "Incorrect Speed Limit." When this option is selected, the user would be prompted to press a button at the start of the road segment where the new speed limit sign is located, and another button at the end of the segment where the speed limit changes again. This way, the system can automatically determine the exact length of the segment that needs to be corrected. This report would then be flagged for review by local map editors.
Benefits of this feature:
• Faster updates: Allows for quicker corrections of outdated speed limits, as thousands of users can provide real-time data from the road.
• Improved map accuracy: Ensures that the displayed speed limits are always current and correct, leading to a safer and more reliable navigation experience.
• Empowered community: Gives all Waze users a direct way to contribute to the accuracy of the map, beyond just reporting hazards.
• Reduced workload for editors: Editors would no longer have to manually search for outdated segments. Instead, they would only need to verify and approve user-submitted changes, making their work more efficient.
This feature would bridge the gap between static map data and real-time road conditions, making Waze even more accurate and community-driven.Currently, speed limits on the map can only be updated by map editors. Show temporary speed limits in construction zones
Temporary Speed Limits for Roadworks & Construction Zones
This suggestion aims to enhance road safety and improve the accuracy of Waze navigation by implementing a feature that displays temporary speed limits in real-time. These are the limits indicated by the yellow or orange signs on portable stands often found in road repair and construction zones.
Currently, Waze primarily relies on static, permanent speed limits for a given road segment. However, in areas with ongoing roadworks, the official speed limit is often temporarily reduced to ensure the safety of both drivers and road workers. Without this information being reflected in the app, Waze may still indicate the higher, permanent speed limit, which could lead to confusion and unsafe driving behavior.
How it would work:
Users could report a temporary speed limit change in a manner similar to reporting a road hazard or other alerts. A new category could be added to the reporting menu, such as "Temporary Speed Limit". The user would then be prompted to select the new, temporary speed limit and the length of the road segment affected.
Benefits of this feature:
• Increased Road Safety: By alerting drivers to lower speed limits in construction zones, Waze would help prevent accidents and protect the lives of both drivers and road workers. This is the primary and most critical benefit of this feature.
• Improved Navigation Accuracy: The app would provide more precise and up-to-date guidance, ensuring that the displayed speed limit matches the real-world conditions.
• Enhanced Community Participation: This feature would empower Waze users to contribute valuable, dynamic data, making the app even more responsive and community-driven. It would foster a sense of shared responsibility for road safety.
• Seamless User Experience: The implementation could be simple and intuitive. Once reported, the temporary speed limit would be displayed on the map, similar to how other reports (e.g., traffic jams, road closures) are shown. The system could be designed so that these temporary reports automatically expire after a certain period (e.g., 24-48 hours) to ensure the information remains current.
In summary, adding the ability to report and display temporary speed limits is a logical and crucial next step in making Waze the most comprehensive and safety-oriented navigation app. It addresses a real-world issue that affects millions of drivers daily and aligns perfectly with Waze's mission to outsmart traffic together. This feature would not only make navigation more accurate but, more importantly, would make our roads safer for everyone.Temporary Speed Limits for Roadworks & Construction Zones

Reduce repetition of extended comments with 70s DJ as you approach alerts
Reduce repetition of extended comments with 70s DJ as you approach alerts. I.e. i dont need the extended comments at .5, .25mile etc as you approach turns. They take so long that they trample on messages and you may miss warnings. Doing it for the first warning only is just fine!

Tamil Language Support
I strongly request that Tamil be fully supported in this app – not just the script and keyboard, but also including the Tamil numeral system. Tamil is one of the oldest living languages in the world, spoken by over 80 million people, with a continuous and incredibly rich cultural history. It is extremely disappointing, that Tamil is still left out.
This feels not just incomplete, but also hurtful to many users. If other languages are given proper support, why not Tamil? This is not a “nice to have” feature – it is a necessity. Millions of Tamil speakers worldwide deserve this support, and we expect a global app in the 21st century to respect and reflect such linguistic diversity.
Please take this request seriously, kindly and implement full Tamil support – including the numeral system – as possible. Anything less will remain a glaring gap that the community will no longer overlook.

CarPlay
CarPlay dashboard navigation mapping is unstable.
Every time I use navigation, the mapping on the dashboard disconnects after a while and shows the message “Please connect Apple CarPlay,” although CarPlay continues to display normally on the central screen. This is definitely not an issue with the phone or the car system, because I tested it in my friend’s car and the problem reappeared.
In addition, the navigation route displayed on the dashboard is too thin, making it difficult to use. I suggest making the route line thicker and more prominent.1 vote -

Timer for trip suggestions
Whenever I use waze on my motorcycle and the trip suggestion such as "Driving Home?" appears, I have to take off my gloves to press "No". It's pretty annoying but I don't want to turn them completely off. So I suggest a timer that if you don't press anything for like 30 seconds, the sign dissappears completely.
