Hola
Hola.

Add average speed trap indicator (bar: from begin till end) when using phone in landscape mode.
Hello. Long time waiting, but no changes. Can you add average speed trap indicator, when phone on landscape mode? Because using a lot time when traveling on landscape phone position. Thanks.

Speeding Threshold Exceeded Alert could be more prominent
The alert for exceeding the speeding threshold is a rather low volume ding. An option for louder and/or more prominent like the red light camera alert would be awesome. Thx

Problem in route visualization when displaying alerts
When Waze displays route alerts the alert appears over the map when the phone is in horizontal position and it is not possible to see what should be done ahead. Please review this, as previous versions didn't have this issue.

Return Zoom buttons + - , or an option to display them.
Why you removed the zoom buttons ( + and -) on the map without an option for permanently displayed? I am using Android phone.
While driving in / out zooming, using two fingers is so unpleasant and takes my attention from the road.
Another annoying thing is the 'report traffic' button in invisible mode - useless. Better to show 3D, auto or 2D.1 vote -

Thing (from Wednesday series) as car icon
Thing T. Thing aka the hand (from Wednesday, the series from Netflix) as the car icon.
When there is traffic, the index finger will tap to indicate frustration/impatient.

How about adding “N”, “S”, “W”, or “E” inside the blue direction arrow so travelers know if they are heading North, South, etc.

Hello Waze Team,
Thank you for this great app that makes driving easier and safer. I have a small suggestion: sometimes the shortest route is not the best option, especially when it goes through narrow streets or roads with bumps that make driving slow.
It would be very helpful if Waze could show the average speed of each road, so drivers can choose smoother and faster routes even if they are a bit longer.
I believe this feature would make navigation more accurate and practical for everyone.
Best regards,

Display car speed//speed limit option in Waze
My wish: to be able to choose, as an option, EITHER the display of my speed (which my car already gives me) along with an alert when I’ve exceeded the speed limit (which basically means it’s already too late!); OR the display of the current speed limit on the route. That would be truly useful information, because while driving you often lose track of which zone you’re in—50? 70? 80? 90? One quick glance at Waze and the info would be right there, clearly visible.

AI traffic flow
ArTi (AI Real Time Interface) Pitch for Waze Integration
Date: September 12, 2025
Contact: Jon Covey, 208-755-4289, jmcovey65@gmail.comThe Problem
Road rage and unclear driver intent contribute to 80% of traffic incidents, per NHTSA data. Current navigation apps, even with real-time alerts, lack a personal, visible signal to communicate compliance, leaving drivers guessing about each other’s behavior—especially in dense or mixed-traffic conditions.
The Solution: ArTi
ArTi is an innovative AI-driven traffic management system that enhances driver awareness and safety through real-time, color-coded feedback:
- Green: Following traffic rules (e.g., speed, lane discipline).
- Yellow: Minor deviations (e.g., slight over-speed, lane drift).
- Red: Only activates when brakes are applied (safety override). Or when the driver is blatantly ignoring rules of the road. How It Works:
- The entire smartphone screen changes color based on AI analysis of driving behavior (using GPS, accelerometer, and local rule data).
- This color syncs to the car’s third brake light, broadcasting the driver’s status to others on the road.
- Integrates seamlessly as an optional overlay, preserving Waze’s core navigation experience. Why Waze?
- Synergy: Waze’s real-time traffic data and user reports can power ArTi’s compliance engine, leveraging your existing AI and crowdsourced insights.
- Safety Boost: ArTi turns Waze into a proactive safety tool, reducing collisions and enhancing community trust—aligning with Waze for Cities goals.
- User Engagement: A unique feature to differentiate Waze, encouraging adoption and retention through gamified safety incentives (e.g., “Green Streak” badges).
Proposed Integration
- Technical Fit: Use the Waze Transport SDK or Deep Links to feed ArTi real-time data (e.g., speed limits, hazards), with a Bluetooth adapter syncing to car lights.
- Pilot Program: Launch in a Waze for Cities partner city (e.g., LA, Singapore) to test ArTi’s impact on traffic flow and safety metrics.
- Collaboration Model: Co-development with shared IP protection, or a licensed feature with revenue share tied to premium usage.
Next Steps
- Discussion: Let’s connect to explore data access and SDK integration details.
- Prototype: We can demo a proof-of-concept using Waze’s public API within 30 days.
- Partnership: Open to negotiating terms via Waze PartnerHub or a direct call.

Two lanes road avoidance. Presently trying to plan a route from Thibodaux La to Branson Missouri.
Option to avoid two lane roads. Copilot has given me suggestions for the tip above. Would like a to import to WAZE.

please better quality for customized voice
The custom voice recording feature in Waze has very poor audio quality. The recordings sound compressed, noisy, and unclear, even though my microphone works fine in other apps. The problem is clearly within Waze, not my device.
Please improve this feature by allowing higher bitrate recordings (at least 128 kbps) and giving users the option to upload pre-recorded audio files (e.g., MP3) instead of only using the in-app recorder. At its current quality, the feature is barely usable and does not meet user expectations.

Use vector engine
I am writing to share a suggestion that I believe could significantly improve the driving experience in Waze navigation.
Currently, roundabouts in Waze are displayed as segmented roads rather than smooth, circular vectors. This design works functionally, but it can make navigation less intuitive, especially in complex roundabouts with many exits. Sometimes, the segmented view even increases the risk of missing the correct exit because the visual flow is not entirely clear.
By contrast, TomTom GO Navigation adopts a fully vector-based rendering of roundabouts. This makes the roundabout appear as a continuous, smooth circle, and when approaching it, the app slightly elevates the camera angle—as if viewed from a drone—providing a clear, immediate understanding of the roundabout layout and exits. The result is not only more visually appealing but also much more reassuring and practical while driving.
I believe implementing a similar vector-based approach in Waze would:
Provide a smoother, more natural driving experience.
Reduce confusion in roundabouts with multiple exits.
Make the navigation visually more modern and enjoyable.
