Fix the search feature during a route
Please fix the search feature on here. It’s horrible.
Why is it when I search for a specific place on my route. I get one option in the list that is nearby and then 6+ options that are in a different state or several hundred miles away.
And please fix how the search results show up. A list doesn’t help. Please have them shown in a map view.
I would rather see stop signs and stop lights I. The map over train track crossings.

Option to set size for alert bubbles
Make an option to select which alert bubbles you want to see and setting to
make that bubbles big enough to be able to see them without zooming in the map. Now at some
point you can't see what is that little dot on the map because auto-zoom makes bubbles very small at high speed :(1 vote -
Button to constantly beep if I'm always over the speed limit. Button in same speed zone to beep when over then under and over again.
You have it set up so that I can press a button and have a sound happen if I go over the speed limit by whatever miles per hour I like which I like. The problem is once I go over that speed limit range in that zone (Zone = same street without a speed limit change). If I go under and then go back over it, it does not beep again. So I don't know if I'm going over the speed limit. Can you please put a request for improvement and put more buttons there that will make it so that it'll constantly beep if I'm always over the speed limit.
And another button if I go under the speed limit in the same speed limit zone that it will beep again if I go over again.
I'd like more selection because different people have different preferences.
This can potentially save people from having tickets, save injuries, save many lives and save property damage. Including how is reading this with other drivers on the road.
To Waze, Please copy and paste this whole thing for context for a request for improvement.

Option to Increase Map Symbol Size in Waze for CarPlay
The map symbols in Waze on CarPlay are currently too small, especially when the map is zoomed out. Important icons such as mobile speed cameras are barely visible while driving.
We kindly request a feature that allows users to adjust the size of map symbols manually, either via settings or dynamic scaling. Ideally, symbols should be allowed to scale up to the size of the current vehicle position icon (navigation arrow) for better visibility.
This feature would greatly improve safety and usability, as many essential warnings are currently too easy to miss.
Thank you for considering this improvement.

Direction Indicators for Speed Cameras
Add a small directional arrow or some kind of indicator next to each speed camera symbol on the map, indicating which direction that camera is monitoring. No indicator if the speed camera monitors both sides, which is rare but still exists.

New ways to personalize the voice
I would like the option to upload previously recorded mp3 files to the personalized sound recordings area. The quality would be much better than recording through my iphone microphone. I could also record and let others use my voice as well if they wanted.

New look
Waze was great in overall but recent "refresh" made it undrivable. Car icon is covered with streets names, then when you get to complicated junctions, street names cover the actual streets and you're left guessing, which might be pretty dangerous with traffic around you. When you get any notification (radar, police, obstruction etc) the box with the name of the street you're on goes up and, yes, you don't see your car icon. If you're on the street with long name, you won't see car icon or actual streets around cause blue box with the name blocks the view. I don't need a street name I'm supposed to turn into on the actual map since it's already on the top of the screen. It's simply unnecessary bloating of the screen. If the name of the street I'm on needs to be under the car icon it should stay under. You need to move the car icon up together with the street name so I can easily see the junction I'm entering. Recent rearrangement of the view the route/show possible routes didn't make me happy either, preferred the old system since I only had to do one click to see current route, and then one click to go back to map if I was happy with the situation. Now I have to click show possible routes, and if I'm happy click to go back to the route, then map reactivates (god knows what for since it takes extra while), then click again to get to the actual map. But this, at least, is not making me look at the screen while entering full blown traffic junction to figure out (and try to guess actually) which turn I'm taking.

Allow setting a maximum number of toll gates in route planning
Dear Waze Product Team,
I have a suggestion that would greatly benefit users travelling in toll-gated cities like Dubai.
Feature: Allow users to specify a maximum number of Salik toll gates they are okay with during a route search.
For example: “Avoid more than 2 Salik gates”
Waze would then show routes that meet this preference, while also displaying the number of Salik gates per route.
This feature would help users:
Control toll expenses and plan budgets.
Avoid surprises from unexpected toll gates.
Choose routes tailored to personal priorities (shortest time vs. fewer tolls).
Such an addition would greatly enhance route customization and overall user experience, especially in regions with toll systems like Salik.
Thanks for considering!

Option to stay off interstate but stay on highways
We need a new option to only avoid Interstates. Sometimes I want to travel a decent road but just not on the interstate itself. If I pick the current avoid interstates and freeways option it sends me on every backroad there is. I still want to travel highways and decent roads.

New sound idea for muted setting
I drive with voice and sounds on mute to not interrupt music and conversations.
I think it would be efficient and helpful to have an option of a little gong only 300m before a turn or a note about the ride. BUT just one, to give drivers an option to remember to look at the navigation route without really "annoying" the driver with loads of information...1 vote -
A new route suggestion
I would like to have a route suggestion that is "no traffic and no stop lights".
I'm driving a stick (manual car) and prefer to drive longer but to be "on the move" rather than get there faster sitting in traffic or stop lights.1 vote -
Cleaner map for navigation
The map view for navigation is very dirty. The names of the street I am on are blocking the car icon, and nearby streets are also hidden by the street names in balloons. This causes a lot of doubt about the route to be taken, since the next maneuvers are always covered by the balloons with street names. There could be an option in the settings to hide this, or simply make the balloons more transparent.

alerts hide the permitted speed
When a warning approaches, be it a speed camera 300 meters away, the warning comes on and stays on for that distance, obscuring the correct speed on the map. I don't know if I'm exceeding the speed limit or approaching the camera at the speed limit. It happens with any alert (I have images.)

Peace of Mind Alerts
Waze is already an industry leader in helping drivers navigate safely, avoid hazards, and stay informed. A proposed feature, “Peace of Mind Alerts,” would take this a step further by notifying users when they are approaching areas with visible political flags, signs, or propaganda that could be emotionally triggering or distressing to some individuals.
In today’s climate, political symbols and messages—regardless of affiliation—can evoke strong emotional reactions. While freedom of expression is essential, so is the mental and emotional safety of users. For some drivers, an unexpected encounter with provocative or controversial displays can disrupt their peace of mind, causing anxiety or stress while behind the wheel.
This feature would empower users to better prepare emotionally for what’s ahead—especially those with trauma, anxiety, or a desire to avoid confrontation with divisive imagery. Waze has always prioritized driver experience, and this would be a progressive step in supporting emotional well-being as part of a smooth and safe journey.

Idea: As a regular user navigating both urban and rural routes, I’ve often found that the fastest route suggested by Waze isn’t always the most fuel-efficient or cost-effective.
While speed may be a priority for some, many of us would benefit from a ‘Shortest Route’ option—especially when trying to cut down on fuel consumption, avoid tolls, or take simpler roads.
Adding this feature would:
Empower drivers to choose routes based on their personal values: time, cost, or sustainability.
Support eco-conscious travel, helping to reduce unnecessary emissions.
Offer a more economical alternative, particularly important as fuel prices continue to rise.
Improve user satisfaction by offering greater routing flexibility for different needs.
For example, in city traffic or areas with frequent stoplights, a shorter route—even if a minute slower—can drastically reduce fuel use and stress.
Let’s make Waze even smarter and more adaptable. If you believe in user choice, fuel savings, or a greener commute, please vote to support this idea. Together, we can drive positive change—one thoughtful route at a time.
