More details for accident
Hello Waze Team,
I’d like to share a few suggestions that I believe could improve the Waze navigation experience.
First, when a Waze user reports an accident on a highway, it might be helpful if they could also indicate whether it is a minor or serious accident. This is just a personal suggestion, so it’s not my main concern.
My main suggestion is to improve how accidents are displayed on highways.
When an accident is first reported, Waze could use the reporting driver’s direction of travel to determine which side of the highway the accident occurred on. It would be extremely helpful to display an arrow alongside the accident icon to clearly indicate the affected direction of traffic.
This would help drivers avoid confusion, especially on highways where traffic flows in opposite directions.
My second suggestion is to make speed camera icons larger and more noticeable.
Previously, traffic lights were not displayed on the navigation map. However, since traffic light icons were introduced, I sometimes find it difficult to distinguish between traffic lights and speed cameras at a glance.
Making speed camera icons larger, clearer, and more visually distinctive would help drivers recognise them more easily while navigating.
Thank you for your time and for continuously improving Waze. I hope you’ll consider these suggestions in future updates.
Best regards,

Subject: Enable Voice Alerts Without Setting a Destination
Dear Waze Development Team,
I have been in contact with Waze Support several times regarding voice alerts for police checkpoints.
I understand that Waze currently requires an active route to provide these voice alerts.
However, many drivers, including myself, regularly use Waze on familiar roads without setting a destination.
I strongly believe that voice alerts for police checkpoints and other road hazards should work even when no destination is selected.
This would significantly improve the usefulness and safety of Waze for everyday driving.
I kindly ask your development team to consider implementing this feature.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
Bo Silvstedt

Pannello indicazioni
Buongiorno. Grazie.

The sponge bob voice needs to laugh
The nav voice for sponge bob needs to be able to laugh. It feels so wrong when he makes a joke and there is in laughter afterwards. This is a pale imitation of the real bob. Please add his laugh.

Double tap the mobile phone screen rather than locating yellow report icon?
Tapping yellow report icon takes ones eye off the road. Instead a double tap of the screen is easier and safer as it can be done by touch.

Color coding traffic for slow or stopped traffic. Almost had a semi rear end me in stopped traffic. He was going highway speed limit.
Adding yellow lines for slow traffic and red lines for stopped traffic with voice warnings would be much appreciated. Coming to a screeching halt on a blind corner or hill could he avoided with advanced warnings.

Lane arrows and direction to turn not on main screen any more
With the latest update, i believe, in apple carplay it stopped showing what lane to take on the main screen. Bring it back on main screen.

Hear Interesting Facts About Places You're Driving Through
I think it would be really cool if Waze introduced an audio feature that uses AI to share interesting facts about the towns, cities, and landmarks as you pass through them.
For example, during a road trip, Waze could occasionally share a fun historical fact, an unusual local story, or something interesting about the area's culture or geography.
Ideally, users could opt into this feature (even a possible toggle button or specific “road trip mode”) and choose how frequently they'd like to hear facts (e.g., every 30 minutes to 1 hour). Facts could be shared during quieter stretches of the drive, when there aren't many navigation instructions, so they wouldn't interfere with directions or alerts. It might also be nice to have a different voice for the fun facts than the one used for navigation.
I think it would make long drives super entertaining, especially when exploring new places. It would also be a fun way to discover interesting things about places you might otherwise pass through without giving them a second thought.

Feature: Speed Limit Challenge
Intent & Goal
Feature that rewards users for driving at or under the posted speed limit. Trips are recorded quietly via GPS, actual speed is compared against known speed-limit data, and the distance driven safely is converted into "Safe Miles" or "Safe KMs" depending on the user's country. The earned balance becomes a shareable badge of honor and a currency redeemable for discounts at partner stores like gas stations and convenience shops, turning safe driving into a measurable, rewarding habit.
For example, for every 100 safe miles you get a free coffee on a specific gas station (the partner)
Audience & Roles
Two user types: (1) Drivers — the primary users; they record trips, view trip scorecards, accumulate Safe Miles/KMs, share their totals with others, and redeem QR vouchers at partner stores.
(2) Admin team — staff with a separate role who curate and manage partner stores and their offers, review redemptions, and monitor suspicious driving activity for fraud. Partner stores do NOT log into the app; admins manage the partner side.

Melhoria no acesso a Rua Verbo Divno
