Alert popup windows disable feature
In android auto the alert popup windows cover vital informations (time to reach destination, lanes to pick on the upcoming crossroad). Recently, the amount of these popup alerts increased so, that they are there almost all the time. There is the option to disable alerts completely, but the alerts are what separates waze from other navigation apps, so not really a good option.
My sugestion is to include the option to disable just the popup windows while leaving the voice notification for the alerts on.
Thank you.

Absurdo

Remove extra screen icon
Remove extra items taking up screen space. We already have an option for home or work when waze first opens on carplay. I don't need an extra icon box to choose from. It's taking up unnecessary space on my screen that won't go away if I'm not in an active navigation. It was a pointless add, we don't need waze to be like Google maps, that's why I use waze. I might as well just stick with Google maps.

Buss lane camera UK
Dear Waze Team,
I’m a regular user of Waze and truly appreciate how it helps make driving easier and safer. I’d like to suggest adding a new feature to the app: bus lane camera alerts, especially in cities like London where these cameras are widespread.
Many drivers are fined for accidentally entering bus lanes without realizing it, and an alert system could prevent such mistakes, just like the existing speed camera notifications. This would be incredibly helpful for users unfamiliar with specific areas or road layouts.

Xavier Legette
Have you heard this man’s draawwwwllllll? The way his words melt like way-more-butter-than-this-recipe-needs-but-that’s-ok-cause-we-in-tha-south-baby, or the way one syllable words are somehow stretched to four syllables like how your grammy stretches that bread dough so, so perfectly but three syllable words are somehow condensed to half a syllable like when your laundry basket is overflowing and you’re just trying to fit those last few things in there so you can go do the wash—I mean the warsh? Enter Xavier Legette, this NFL rookie class’ most endearing personality and most likable voice. We already know he washes his face with Cetaphil; we already know he worked at KFC during COVID; now we want him to tell us to turn right and to warn us when there’s a speed trap ahead. The people DESERVE this. Xavier Legette deserves this. Give us liberty or give us LEGETTE!!!

Keep things the same
Keep the interface the same changing the user interface should not change the only thing that should change is the map updating not the interface if someone wants to see a quick overview the button should already be visible and easy to tap on most likely the person using the app is the driver having to stair at their phone and find buttons or click more than one button just to see the route as a whole quickly instead if of having to search and look for things you should also put up a notification pop up when you first open Waze if you are changing the interface tell us where they were moved to giving no information means having to search through the app and figure out where things went your a map app not an interface app I should be able to open the app put in the address and drive away knowing nothing will change and I can find the interface options in the same place every time no matter what day month or year it is

SchedNav: A College/University Campus Map for students
Dear Waze,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Panlilio, Mikhail, a SchedNav. I am a student from MAPUA University, Intramuros, Manila, Philippines. We have developed an innovative mobile app designed to help students and visitors navigate university and school campuses more easily, and we believe there is a unique opportunity for Waze and SchedNav to collaborate.Purpose of this email
I am reaching out to propose an academic collaboration between SchedNav and Waze to explore how combining our campus-specific data with Waze’s real-time navigation technology could benefit students, faculty, and visitors navigating university campuses. This partnership, intended solely for academic purposes, could involve:
Campus Navigation: Integrating SchedNav’s campus data into Waze for precise routing on school grounds.
Enhanced User Engagement: Using Waze’s interface to share campus events and notifications.
Academic Research Opportunities: Gaining insights into campus-based navigation and potential for future academic applications.
Why I chose Sched Nav
I chose Waze as a potential partner because they align with our goals in providing both students and outsiders visiting school, college or university campuses here in the Philippines a cutting edge advantage. With its unparalleled expertise in real-time navigation, user-friendly interface, and vast global reach. Waze’s commitment to providing accurate, efficient, and dynamic routing solutions aligns perfectly with SchedNav’s mission to make campus navigation more intuitive and accessible for students, faculty, and visitors. Waze’s ability to crowdsource real-time data, offer turn-by-turn directions, and seamlessly integrate user-generated content makes it the ideal platform to extend SchedNav’s campus-specific data and features. By combining Waze’s advanced navigation capabilities with our campus-centric services, we can create a powerful, localized solution that enhances the campus experience and fosters greater engagement from university communities. Together, we can redefine the way people navigate educational environments, making it not just easier, but smarter and more connected.SchedNav is a campus navigation app tailored specifically for educational institutions in the Philippines. The app provides a seamless experience for students, faculty, and visitors by offering real-time campus navigation, scheduling, event tracking, and location-based services. With features like academic building directions, classroom schedules, and event reminders, SchedNav serves as the ultimate guide for anyone on a university campus.
Given Waze’s expertise in real-time navigation and mapping, we see a strong potential for synergy between our services. By partnering with Waze, we would like to integrate SchedNav with your navigation platform to enhance the experience of users traveling to and within university campuses across the Philippines. This collaboration could bring several benefits to both companies:
Proposed Collaboration:
Seamless Campus Navigation: Integrate SchedNav's campus-specific data (classroom locations, academic buildings, dormitories, etc.) into Waze’s navigation system, providing precise routing within school campuses.
Increased Visibility and Reach: By combining SchedNav's targeted user ibase (students, parents, faculty, and visitors) with Waze’s extensive mapping capabilities, we can provide an even better user experience for those navigating educational environments.
Enhanced User Engagement: Offer features such as live campus events, student clubs, and university-specific promotions directly within Waze’s interface, encouraging more interaction with your app.
Local Market Expansion: Philippines’ educational sector is growing, with millions of students enrolled annually. This partnership presents an opportunity for Waze to expand its services and increase engagement within a new and rapidly growing market segment.
Benefits for Waze:
Expanded User Base: Reach a more targeted audience of students, parents, and school visitors.
Improved User Experience: By offering detailed, university-specific navigation, Waze would further enhance its reputation as a trusted navigation service for both urban and campus environments.
Potential for Future Developments: The potential for future features such as campus parking availability, real-time transportation (shuttle services), and campus safety alerts could open up additional avenues for growth.
We believe that this collaboration can create a more effective, comprehensive navigation solution, catering specifically to the needs of students, teachers, and campus visitors in the Philippines.
We would love the opportunity to discuss this proposal with you in more detail. Please let us know if you would be available for a virtual meeting or call at your earliest convenience. We are excited about the possibility of partnering with Waze and working together to make navigating university campuses a simpler, more efficient experience for everyone.
Thank you for considering this opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
Panlilio, Mikhail Etienne M.

Voice after long time only
Basically i don't use voice because it volumes down the music and annoying anyway. BUT crusing on the higway for hours you don't check the navigation visually, so there is a chance you miss the exit. A new function would be usefull that active voice only after a certain time (1,2, etc. hours) between to far points and mutes down when you have to check the routes frequenlty.

Great breakdown of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)! This article does a fantastic job explaining each stage—from planning and requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. It’s clear how SDLC serves as a structured roadmap, guiding developers to deliver high-quality software efficiently. For anyone involved in software development, understanding these phases is crucial to managing project risks and ensuring timely delivery. Thanks for clarifying the different SDLC models as well; it’s helpful to see how teams can adapt their approach based on project needs. Looking forward to more insights like this.

I am using Waze with Android Auto for a device without touch screen. During navigation the focus box stay on magnifier icon (search box) and this should be on reporting new traffic incident. It takes me few seconds to roll the knob until reporting and a had to take the eyes from the road. Even if I manually move the focus, after few seonds jumps back on search. It is a little bit annoying, espcially that few years ago was as ok.

Hello I was in Austria and in a section of 100km/h with the IG-L supplement, I didn't know if it applied to me and when I was driving 130km
Hello
I was in Austria and in a section of 100km/h with the IG-L supplement, I didn't know if it applied to me and when I was driving 130km/h waze didn't warn me that if my car runs on gasoline, it applies to me. It would be good, even if this tab is not active down in one strip, to explain to everyone what it means if it happens to light up in this section. In the settings, there is the type of vehicle and the preferred gasoline, and from that this information could be clear that it concerns me. So please, in the given area, 100 would be displayed below in a red circle and IG-L, if it lights up, you have to go 100 km/h. This would not be shown for electric cars because it does not apply to them.
And one more observation.
In one section down the hill, about 7 km long, there was a 100 km/h sign on the freeway and a measurement of about the distance between vehicles, 2 seconds of driving between vehicles. On the Waze screen, I saw a vertical green bar on the left, but it would be good to permanently warn at the bottom of the measurement of 2 seconds of driving, or an image with two cars and arrows between them with 2s on the arrow.I really like using this application and I was very pleased with the improvements, specifically 50 in the circle and the note that after *** m the speed will be reduced. It really saves gas and brakes, because if I'm 90 km/h and I take my foot off the gas, I arrive at the village at just 50-60 km/h.
Thanks for your work

Radar
