Commercial Suggestion
Dear Waze Community,
I’m a freshly Energy Engineer from Madrid that have been using Waze since years ago.
This app si awesome and I’m thinking always about how to improve the commercial side of the Waze community.
Currently, it is me all times who is talking others about Waze and people don’t know the app, or what is worst, don’t use it because they are not familiarized with it.
What I want to get to, is that it could be a great idea use cars stylized with Waze Logo and maybe some commercial message like: “It is not the car it is waze”.
And why this message? My idea is based in the commercial cars, but not as all the companies which use low gamma cars. It is about using striking cars which can supose not a big cost like, for example, the Honda Civic type R.
Just imagine seeing that car which captures all the attention for everyone in and out of the road with the Waze’s logo and some commercial ads as the mencioned.
It would be a pleasure for me continue designing this commercial idea which I think could be worth it for the Waze community and company.

When traveling on the highway, how about providing an indication of the distance and time of arrival to each service area?

Fix catout android
Good night, I recently changed my phone, I thought that this problem had already been solved. This is not even a problem, but a defect that is already more than 3 years old, that’s for sure. But the drawback is that the cutout in the application does not read and a black background is simply superimposed, and not like in Google maps, for example, everything is fine and calm. I propose to solve this problem already.

Subway/Metro
Creating a Metro/Subway version to the app. The subways apps tend to be out of date or not in active real time for delays. You guys add the human element of “station a has 10 confirmed delays” and this line will be impacted.
You can also tag police locations and allow people to know where they are for safety.1 vote -

Help the less fortunate in a cash free society
In South Africa we have a lot of street beggars, traffic light sellers and car guards that we often get to know well traveling the same routes every day and we want to give them a small donations of change but so often these days people don’t have cash or change on them. It would be great if these people could register for the place they stand and list what they need, blankets food etc. then when you drive past the people they are geotagged and their face pops up on your map with a donate button. People could have an account that they top up when they want to and then set donation limits like one or two Rand per donation Money goes towards what they need. Once enough donations are gathered for a specific person they are given items on their list for that monetary value. The people who donated would get a notification to say the person they donated too now has food for the week or a blanket for winter or their kids school uniform has been delivered. Clicking on their profile could also share some information like their first name, home language etc which could almost act like a CV for them and make them feel seen, greeted by name and maybe even in their own language feeling accepted and uplifted.

The latest versions of WAZE doesn't function on Android 8.0
Since version 4.102.0.3 - versions 4.105.02 and 4.107.0.1 doesn't boot and crash immediately upon opening.

Wenn man im Vorfeld weiß, dass eine bestimmte Straße gesperrt ist und dies von Waze nicht angezeigt wird, sollte es die Möglichkeit geben, dies direkt zu melden und nicht erst direkt vor Ort. Das bedeutet oftmals einen großen Umweg, nur damit man das Problem melden kann.

Android Auto Feature Parity
Android Auto is lacking a lot of features as opposed to the mobile phone app.
Many of them are already requested here, but I just see Ella (Waze team) marking them all as "NOT RIGHT NOW", without much extra info as to why not. ("Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.")
@Ella please take the time to think them over a bit more critically, some are just absurd why they are not going to be implemented.
For example one critical missing feature is reporting is road closures, triggering a reroute without that road. No way to do it.Another missing feature is the "progress bar" while driving through an average speed check zone. I can imagine it would be pretty low effort to put a colored line at the side of the screen, especially since the Android app already has the logic for it.
Showing comments: no way to read a comment on the map (or even have it read out loud by assistant or something). This can often contain some critical information about an accident or closure.
When selecting a new destination, there is no option to select a planned drive or upcoming events from your synced calendars.
I'm actually pretty certain this was actually there at one point. Where did it go?!
There's a lot more, and it currently feels like Android Auto is just ignored a bit at the Waze offices.
Please take this suggestion as a cry for help from an increasing number of vehicles with Android Auto built-in who really like Waze on their phone, but find the missing features really breaking the experience.
Please try to have some more developers put on the Android Auto development for a few weeks / months to crank out some much needed features.If this isn't possible, at least try to get it done that we can use Waze on our phone while android auto is running. Now we can't even access the missing features without completely disconnecting our phone from the car to just report a road closure or something.
Please, please help.

"Not there" option for all incidents on route clickable, not just on alerts
When on route, when there are multiple reports and alerts for police or cars on a side of road it only alerts you of only one, there others sometimes are just missed to click the "not there" option and the alert stays there for others. You should be able to click the report and show the "not there" option all times, not just the like button.

Speed bump notification not working well
I am using Waze for navigation and speed bumbs notifications not appeard on my screen while navigating while it is working well with other users using the same route and at the same time, I suggest to solve this issue if other users face the same issue, and I suggest to make the speed bumbs notifications works even if I use the same way multiple times in the day.

Speedometer Calibration
I’ve noticed a consistent discrepancy between the speed shown in your app and the actual speed displayed on my car’s speedometer. For instance, when I’m driving at 120 km/h, the app shows 115 km/h. I’ve tested this across multiple vehicles, and the gap of about 5 km/h seems consistent.
Could you please consider adding an option in the app to adjust or calibrate the speedometer reading? This would help users ensure more accurate speed tracking while driving.1 vote -
Drop my own Pins while driving - Much like reporting a hazard - So I can look them up later
When I'm driving I often see houses for sale or other interesting things I wish i could look up when I got home. Or maybe I am a business owner who roofs homes, and i see a bad roof, i want to reach out to the owner later.. An easy way for me to save a location to my account for later review would be awesome. It would have to be easy and quick like reporting a road hazard or police. Just saves to my Waze account.

Leave early for calendar event
Calendar integration for planned drives is cool and I use it a lot — it would be even better if I could specify that I want to aim to arrive to an event X minutes early without having to set up a separate planned drive.

Please add an option to view distance between two places like in google maps. Idk why this feature isn't there till now.

Show route turns on landscape and portrait mode
The upcoming turn-by-turn directions would populate in landscape mode not too long ago. Now, it only shows a zoomed out version of the map. Why would anyone not want directions like they do in portrait mode? This was an awful update which caused me to nearly have three accidents in my vehicle without CarPlay. I have had to resort to Apple Maps and google maps because Waze appears to care more about voices and cool features instead of functionality!
