Road details
As we all know, WME is changing its appearance and because of that, many of us complained about the unneeded "empty space" that is everywhere on WME.
I know that some extra work is being done by staff, in order to please us all the best way possible :) , but something more can be done.
One suggestion is to use symbols, instead of text, for what I call "road details": Unpaved; Tunnel; Headlights; Next to BUS lane; Beacons.
This would allow saving some more space and the icons are more or less self-explanatory, being possible to add a text/explanation for each icon by showing some tooltip box on mouseover ...

FWIW, WME clicksaver now colors the buttons based on the road type’s segment color.

Personally, I'm not in favor of this suggestion. Using symbols for road types I'm going to have to do mental gymnastics every time I need one of those road types. Whereas the abbreviations have been in use since before I started editing. I would rather just have the button colors that match the road type and the abbreviations. If colors aren't an option then leave it as is.

Agreed with one exception, Private Road will either need to be localized (the Vienna Convention symbol is not used in the US and countries that follow MUTCD-style road sign rules and not obvious to people from those countries) or excluded.

Additionally to the other idea requesting the buttons to have colors,
I would like to request the buttons to get icons when possible, instead of abbreviations.Just as an example (the icons should get a Waze-design and not be emojis):
Parking lot road: 🅿
Ferry: ⛴
Taxiway: ✈
Private road: ⭕
Railroad: 🚆In order to reduce the cognitive load of going through all buttons which look the same.
