Setting to have vertical menu item selected when opening

I often times use scripts or change settings before making my first edit. It would be useful to have the option to have WME open with a specific element of the vertical menu selected. That may be any of the options available, but Feed/Issue Tracker and Scripts would be my most likely to use first.

    This is my own suggestion and I'll make a tweak. If the panel is auto-expanded, hide the strip with the different buttons and make the hamburger menu act like a hamburger menu.

    Second this! I work URs (more than most states have in total) and want to open new tabs to Scripts (UR-MP) 99% of the time.

    I would also like to be able to hide the new little far left side button strip as I very rarely check my editing area or drives, don't look at feeds and WME will auto-switch between scripts and editor mode as I select/de-select segments for editing. Please provide the option as editors have various preferences. Thank you

    EDIT: I wrote a script to hide close the drawer so it is always closed.
